I dont even know what the initial resistance from cyborg was about. There have been natural flyweights that have bloated themselves up to be served to her which she had no problem with. Now the UFC are offering her real comp and shes like nah for the purity of the div i cant fight her...

It will be fun seeing nunes being bullied for once even though i will be rooting for her

Nunes biggest problem will be gassing, I expect cyborg to ko her as she tires

We finally get to see two fighters who properly throw punches in the octagon

Where the fukk is Weidman? Thompson? Gasteleum? Garbrandt? DJ? What is with these crap one fight PPV cards?

Weidman - Had thumb and hand surgery
Thompson - Allegedly booked against Till, don't know when
Gastelum - No idea, he was very public with wanting to replace Whittaker in Australia
Garbrandt - He was knocked out two months ago, I think it's reasonable for him to take time off
DJ - Had surgery recently, targetting July PPV date vs TJ

They just need to let Joanna co main behind Cyborg and show both their highlights with Nunes and Rose. That should be ok

Joanna ain't beating Rose anyway imo. They need to focus on building up Rose. She's had anti-bullying and anti-abuse messages behind her past fights, they should probably ride the fact that she seems like a good role model as opposed to a Ronda Rousey.

The new rumor for Till is that he's gonna fight Gunnar Nelson in London. Not sure about Thompson.

No reason why Rose isn’t getting any push. But possibly after they see how this rematch plays out. :ohhh: you think Joanna can’t beat her

I'm opposed to quick rematches unless the fight is really close and competitive. Not enough time to see the holes, make the adjustments and add the improvements before fight time. It's why I had no problem with Aldo not getting McGregor and the reason I liked Max over Aldo in their rematch. Most of these fights play out really similar to the first one. Now, if you give a fighter a year with 2 or 3 more camps and time in between...then you get a Stipe vs JDS 2 where the result can be completely different. But rushing JJ back in there with Rose is a recipe for another L imo. She had no answers and looked completely perplexed, I don't think strategy alone will change the result.

So supposedly Dana is gonna offer another match to Nate but it won’t be Conor or Woodley.

A lot of fans are clamoring for Alvarez in what would probably be a toughman contest. I haven't seen anything concrete but that'd make some sense. I'd rather see Poirier vs Gaethje and then the winner get Nate because I'm thinking Eddie would wrestle and grind when he realizes his boxing doesn't stand a chance.

It's not the same Jacare that was dropping dudes in Strikeforce, so you're not out of your mind. But it kinda is the same Brunson on a lot of nights. If you watch the Jacare KO and then rewatch the Whitaker fight, the guy just habitually leads with his head. If he's fighting smart like he was in the Silva fight, he can win but that's a coin toss.

I think Joanna got caught. Now that she knows she can get caught she might just be on her bike and move while striking as oppose to trade and bang. :manny: would be really interesting to see Joanna’s mentality going into this fight especially her prefight antics.

Could care less for an Eddie Alvarez vs Nate Diaz rumor. Low key Alvarez is like a more skilled Gathje. But that dude stays going into unnecessary wars. I still remember his first UFC fight against Melendez.

Thats whats scaring me a little dude doesnt seem to fight very intelligently. I have no clue what he was doing in the Whittaker fight. I'm still cofident that if it remains standing hell win the fight.

Cowboy chopped Eddie down like a tree too :russ:! I'm really hoping they have a better idea for Nate, but with their strategies lately I doubt it unless we get something like a Kevin Lee fight purely for the prefight antics.

With JJ, I just think Rose had her timing from jump. Rose said something similar on the Rogan podcast and Pat Barry followed it up with something along the lines of "we knew everything she was gonna do." That's the biggest danger for a champ, fighters are prepping for you well in advance. I don't think Joanna wins the fight on her back foot because Rose's footwork is so good at throwing a fighter off balance (it's insane how she can break rhythms just by how much weight she puts on her lead leg), so I'd be looking for a forward moving strategy but with a LOT of feints. Maybe close distance looking for a body lock or two that can force some clinch work, JJ is a demon in the clinch and could maybe press Rose back to the cage where Rose wouldn't have the space to fake her ot.
