back story
Basically I live in Austin Texas where he lives. A few fighters bounce around gyms here especially the Onnit gym here.
I've been hanging with a group of BJJ guys that have an event at a brewery on Sunday. Drinks and grappling? Sounds fun.
One of my buddies came in and told me "yo Tim Kennedy is coming. Don't tell anyone!"
About half an hour into rolling there he is!
He rolls with someone in one round and I see him while I'm grappling someone else. I already did kickboxing earlier.
So next round he asks someone so I decide to step up!
I rolled with him for 5-7 min. Dude is probably 220 SHREDDED at 5'11". I'm 6'1" 200ish. Tim is very methodical. He wasn't using a lot of strength.
He smothered me and got me in bad spots. I took his back for maybe 15 seconds but dude is a black belt in BJJ. I'm just some guy that trained nogi for a year and a half!

He's busy enough that he doesn't need to fight again IMO and risk injury. Dude can just do his side hustles and use his likeness to sell things since he's so well known in MMA, LEO, and Military.

Hate to say it but Rampage was the only one that was neutral and almost indifferent towards me. He was more excited to see my Asian friend because he looked like Machida
I saw Ryan Bader maybe 2-3 times at the same expo and he was super nice.
Carlos Condit did a seminar here last week but I was out of town. Really want to meet him. There is gonna be a striking seminar with Bas Rutten and Duane Ludwig in Jan I may check out.

Maybe he was off that day but he took a picture with me, signed an autograph for me and stuff. He just was indifferent towards me so I thought it was just long, but he saw my friend and got excited like "Hey he look like Macheetah!"
Ha I just want to BANG bro. Honestly the times I've tried Bang Muay Thai I felt that it is a stylistic match for my body type. I'm just kinda hesitant of doing it full time because I still like lifting and other stuff and the last time I did martial arts 100% I had to lift WAY less.
