Hunt just came out and said he won't officially sign off on the fight until there is a clause where he gets overeem pay on top of his pay if overeem fails a test
So Aldo said that Khabib turned down an interim title fight against him at 155.
Plans on fighting for that interim belt in March 2017

Seems like Ferguson is pricing himself out of the fight with Khabib and when Aldo was offered up as a challenger for 155 interim Khabib turned it down because he wants to fight Ferguson

It doesn't matter if he fights Ferg now or later. If he is the best he will fight Ferg eventually. Khabib needs to get to Conor and this is the fastest way because he doesn't fight in the summer and if he doesn't set up a fight with Conor in the fall Conor gonna be chilling.He's right. With that being said I don't think Aldo is an easy out either. I'm really intrigued by that match up to be honest.

Lol at UFC trying to muddy the FW division again. Say Aldo accepted and won then what? Holloway becomes champ by default via beating a Pettis that really shouldn't even be ranked at fw? Crazy

Yeah, I respect that Khabib wants to fight the guy that everyone has been asking about and whom he was supposed to fight a long time ago. But as long as Khabib keeps winning, he'll be able to fight Ferguson from an even bigger perch. Plus nobody is gonna have questions if Khabib beats Aldo and Mcgregor on top of dominant wins over Michael Johnson and RDA...they'd want that fight with Cucuy (assuming he keeps winning also) but it's not like anyone would question Khabib's resume at that point.
It'd be pretty funny. Aldo would be relinquishing a belt that he didn't have to fight to win because the UFC forced Conor to relinquish the belt. So it's back to back champions who never defended the belt and gave it up (or were forced to give it up) to move up a weight class and fight each other any way. That'd be ridiculous on so many levels that I'd be rooting for Conor to ruin the plan by saying he wants to fight Max at 145 instead.
