On the postfight show...the suggestion was Brunson vs weidman. .....I like it.

A union, huh? How does that work? Almost all those guys you mentioned are under contract with ufc....how can they even do any business with rebney?

This weeks MMA Hour is stacked! Great guest all throughout.

DC pulling out actually helped this ppv cause no one was talking about it before now they tied Conor to it and got people's attention. They should cut him a check.

UFC needs to quit putting all their eggs in the McGregror basket. They're definitely mirroring the WWE by depending on one guy to carry the load. I doubt Conor is in this for the long haul, a few more big money fights and I think he retires in the next three years.

What other options are there? Ronda has her foot out the door. Jon can't seem to stay out of trouble. The options are very limited and the UFC is always more focused on pushing their brand rather than any specific fighter.

:ehh: summed it up perfectly 8:30 mark - Ariel Helwani

The problem is the why and the how. The why is a big issue. If Daniel Cormier did not get injured, Monday morning we’re sitting here talking about Conor McGregor as the featherweight champion. Daniel Cormier’s injury should have nothing to do with the featherweight division. So that’s the why. They stripped Conor McGregor because Daniel Cormier got injured, and they needed something to headline this pay-per-view in December in Toronto.

***

They botched it. They botched it epically. They botched it because if you’re going to go ahead and strip Conor, then Holloway /Pettis needs to be for the real belt, and you say to Jose Aldo that you’re getting the first crack at the champion of this interim title, you’ve been talking about retirement, you’ve been talking about not fighting again, you’ve been talking about throwing fights, we don’t know the state of your career is, so we’re making Holloway/Pettis the real championship fight, because we just stripped the biggest draw and the biggest star of his belt.

Well of course they don't because it might as well be Conor McGregror featuring the UFC at this point.
Apart from the racial component and preferential treatment I like that the UFC finally has a fighter that's bigger than the brand, the only shame is that there is no Jon Jones, Honda or gsp to take some of the weight:yeshrug:. Even in the height of wwf's 2 biggest eras ( new generation and attitude) no one man shouldered the load. The fact that he's solely carrying the company only signals his run is going to be short

how the fuk isn't larkin signed yet :wtf:

he's been a free agent for almost 3 months and nobody wants to give this man a contract.

- UFC offered him an extension before the Magny fight. He declined (felt the offer was weak).

- Then after the Magny fight, the UFC did not offer him any contract during the 3-month UFC exclusive negotiating period.

- Since the 3 month period, he has been negotiating with Bellator

- Larkin said he's willing to fight for any promotion that wants to market him and has faith in him.

- Feels the UFC did not do enough to market him.

- If he re-signs with the UFC, Larkin wants a fight with Cerrone.

I hope Larkin gets a good deal, he deserves it.

Larkin and Cerrone is gonna be big in this thread, for obvious reasons.

Ward vs. Page is a great fight for Bellator. ....call me crazy but at this point in their careers, that's a pick em fight.

1.GSP not returning on the Canada card.
2.DC getting injured
3.Not using Ariel's featherweight title idea
4.Not getting Rumble a new opponent for the card.

All fukk ups on UFC'S part....if it does 200,000...I'll actually be happy for them...what's the last ppv that did under 200k? DJ and the Russian breh?

I am a fan of Holloway's style but he's acted like a spurned lover during this whole aldo business. Dude is still poppin off even with his fight with Pettis so close. He better get his priorities in order last thing I need to see is Pettis become interim fw champion :scust:
