Following Reebok protest, Fabricio Werdum says he's been removed from his UFC broadcast duties

Just days after his social media protest against Reebok, former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum revealed in an Instagram video on Friday that he has been removed from his television duties as an analyst and commentator on the UFC's Spanish-speaking broadcasts.

"I just want to make everything clear about my post of Nike and Reebok. I did this to protest about the sponsorship," Werdum wrote on the post. "Before Rebook got into UFC, all the fighters use to do a lot of money with other sponsors, including me, and now they paying me only $5,000 per fight. I didn't get penalized because I have to contract with them, but they cut me out of the TV broadcast #UFCnetwork."

:laff:

It's petty to remove him from commentary, and take money out of his pocket. But that's the type of stuff these guys are going to have to deal with until they man up and form a union.

I don't even know what other possible outcome he was looking for, like did he honestly think these antics would fetch him a special reebook deal? and how is he only getting 5k when hes fought for pride, ufc, strikeforce and ufc again? lies

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Matt Mitrione Targeted for Early 2017

Fedor Emelianenko is going to compete inside the Bellator cage in 2017.

Multiple sources have confirmed with FloCombat a bout between "The Last Emperor" and former UFC veteran turned Bellator contender Matt Mtirione is being targeted for early 2017. While there is still nothing official on the bout, FloCombat has learned the fight is close to being a done deal.

A matchup between Emelianenko and Mitrione would not only be the biggest fight in the history of the promotion's heavyweight division, but on par to be one of the most high-profile tilts ever put together under the Bellator banner.

Mitrione has won back-to-back showings since arriving to his new home earlier this year, with each of those victories coming via stoppage. A win over Fedor would certainly be the biggest of Mitrione's career, and that has to be a huge appeal for the former NFL player turned mixed martial artist.

There is similar appeal where Emelianenko is concerned.
A fight with Mitrione would serve to silence the Russian's critics that he doesn't take dangerous matchups and help level the sting of a rough performance against Fabio Maldonado many believe he lost.

:merchant: Oh dear god.

Mitrione did get dropped twice in two consecutive fights against journeymen like Carl Seumanutafa and Oli Thompson, but after that Maldonado fight...I dunno about Fedor's chances :francis:

Did you see their first fight? It was pretty damn close and that when was MM was working a full-time job .
Cruz won a UD 50-45. Wasnt an ass kickin but it was decisive. I will give you that dj has gotten leaps and bounds better since then, but at somepoint size matters. Especially when both are equally skiled in their ownright

DJ himself bushed that whole superfight stating that hell only do it if he gets 3 mill. He said himself that cruz is to big, i think he said it on the mma hour last time he was on.

I agree tho thatsthe fight to make if cruz beats cody

Which fight are you looking forward to the most out of your list?

Either Weidmen/Romero or Woodley/Thompson for me.
