I favor Max in this fight with Pettis, Showtime reminds a lot of BJ Penn. When they can control the pace of the fight they look unbeatable, but when they can't they fold.

They fought in the WEC, Cruz won easily. I'd be more interested in Cruz going up to 145.

I've been dying for Max to get the exposure he deserves since he put it on Cub Swanson a while back and kept reeling off wins from there. I'm hoping he wins but I also don't want cats to dismiss Pettis for a loss to Max, Holloway has been making quality fighters look bad for a couple years at this point. If Pettis makes it a competitive fight, it's a good sign for him even though I can't see him getting back to the Showtime level again.

The thing to keep in mind about Cruz vs DJ one is that DJ was still working a 9-5 to pay bills when that fight happened. Not saying he's a favorite or anything, but I'd expect a much different and more competitive fight this time around. I agree with @curz about TJ vs DJ above though, that's the super fight I'd really like to see.
