I don't understand how this pertains to my statement, was someone questioning his professional integrity?

first you said they weren't feeding UFC tonight now your problem is the portions were too small? lol. That female fight is headlining UFC on FOX that could be a big deal to some and the cruz situation could easily be down to not having a deal in place to report. As for your last sentence it never really made sense how UFC acted like mma's NFL yet bloggers would break their news first. Now they go to established media sources and have it trickle down that's how a company sold for 4 billion is suppose to operate. Who watches UFC tonight anyway
... you get people to watch UFC tonight by dropping news on it... you're right Cruz may not have any opponent just yet... but Dana saying his team is gonna kill him for even releasing the pvz vs waterson fight is :dahell:

that's how it started initially I guess they just realized Fox sports reach is limited.

you don't honestly believe a street smart promotor/negotiator like Dana was made to sing by a mere cormier/florian do you? And who within the company has as much love for money/fighting and holds a higher rank..He was feigning for the cameras

The herd is on fox sports...

It's not about DC or Kenny getting him to sing... just drop news for the people on the show called UFC tonight. He was pretty tight lipped about everything and made it seem like he overstepped with even the pvz vs waterson...

Dave Meltzer: Joe Silva and Dave Sholler are the big names to go so far, but they won't be the last. WME-IMG want to bring in their own people. I've been told that by January it will be a very, very different company.

A lot of people behind the scenes are worried about their future or looking elsewhere.

So many people are going to be gone and I hope they have some people around who know the fight business. Joe Silva was one of them and he's not there any more.

This is just the nature of a big sale. It happens when any company gets sold.

They're going to continue to make "money fights" because that's what the new owners want. The UFC has no choice now (...) Fighters like Aldo and Pena need to understand that's how it is, and if anything it's going to get worse for them (...) Pena is crying about not getting a title shot, but she wouldn't even have a job if it wasn't for Rousey"

Bellator better start preparing for the fallout of this, if the new owners are gonna go that route fighters are gonna want to jump ship.

can't the herd also be heard....on other platforms? It ain't confined to just FS1 like UFCTonight, which helps....

For argument sake if he overstepped who would he answer to for such an offence other than ari and the million investors Dana is next on the ladder

Bellator can only cherry pick if a fire sale came their way they'd be saying no like destiny child. I don't know why random fighters even some low drawing champions are making out they have any stroke to demand anything, if the plan is to walk away from fighting permanently then that's another thing.

ain't this already been posted?

Not sure how the herd works.

I'm sure you're right about who he has to answer to... but he made it seem like he shouldn't have said it. "His team is gonna kill him..." right.... for pvz and waterson on UFC tonight out of all places? :heh:

Despite reports, Vitor Belfort says he's not retiring: 'The Phenom' is back

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort isn’t hanging up the gloves just yet, despite what you may have read.

MMAjunkie today confirmed with “The Phenom” what an Instagram post some took to serve as a retirement announcement was nothing of the sort.

“I’m not retired,” Belfort said emphatically. “I want to fight again soon.

“I am driven to get back on my feet and honor the nickname I so proudly carry. ‘The Phenom’ is back.”

I had a heartfelt post all typed up, but Vitor says he's not retiring.

Dana or somebody close to him needs to have that talk with him :francis:

I know exactly how this goes with Vitor. The winners of the MW fights will get long medical suspensions, and they'll make Bisping vs Belfort.
