not even mad at this. match up with mendes is still great. finally get to see how mcgregor does against a wrestler. if mcgregor wins, the fight with aldo will be even more hyped and if he loses we get to see another possible FOTY with mendes opposed to another matchup with frankieAldo pulled out of the fight

On one hand I'm pissed but on the other hand I love to see this blow up in Dana and UFC's face. But Aldo fighting with the rib would of been a huge risk theres no way he would of been near 100%. Now I have to root hard for Connor even though I cant stand dude but really Mendes/Aldo 3 is to much to soon.

I dont know Mcgregor moves so fluently I think he could def catch Mendes but we've never seen Mcgregor against not only a wrestler but such an explosive one. Gonna be interesting I lean towards Mcgregor though.

i got mendes as the favorite. He has more experience in the ring against tougher fighters and on bigger cards than Connor. I understand the hype and everything with Connor, but when i look at his record and rewatch his fights, I find it pretty lacklustre honestly. Beating up Dennis siver really doesnt do much for me in terms of a true num1 contender.
I'm happy Aldo pulled out, now lets see Connor run the gauntlet, fight mendes and edgar, build your cache up not by your mouth tlkin ish but by the quality of opponents you put away. And then come fight Aldo and it'll be an even bigger fight....and pay day.
As for the fighter uniforms, some of these fighters need 2 relax a bit with the dumb comments, like how many sport teams sells uniforms and tshirts with their names on the back. And of course the fighters wont be fighting with the t shirts on. They'll wear those while walking down the ring and after the fight in stead of the normal promo tee's. Also now for some standard ufc promo event they can wear the shirt too. Too some casual fans who only watch big fights they prolly dont even recognize half the lower tiered fighters in ufc so the shirts will help.
Mendes has only lost twice in his career, both times to Aldo. Mendes is legit I think he's the solid favorite in this fight

I think it would be silly not to test Conor's wrestling early, but you might be underselling Mendes' standup. He's got skills
