He wasn't making that much and came back to UFC for like 105/105 or something like that.

Won 3 straight fights and renewed his contract to what you see it is now, 500k.

The only part I'm not sure about is whether he is on a new deal, or if the 500k was contacted as a title bout salary when he came back.

We'll know next time he fights hopefully

That was just a knock on how Dana said Ronda vs cyborg will get 2 mill guys. When we know UFC doesn't get a lot of views plus DC isn't really a draw. Especially that fight against bader if jones vs DC couldn't hit a mill.... The next DC fight won't probably hit 200k

As a matter of fact this whole situation is like a movie. The once cocky and proud champ loses his belt and goes to prison because of his ego getting out of control, his mortal enemy steps up to win his title, and then the former champ meets a wise, old mentor in prison that helps him get his head on straight and get his life back together.
