why? now that gus has been exposed against top talent I am quite fine with them giving him the bisping treatment.Saturdays show was great and many would pay for a jones sequel.Joe just needs to be tactful, a win over bader and perhaps rashad is the way to go about it.The last one is easier said than done though

Who said they were elite? Does Cormier have any truly elite wins? He got a title shot coming off wins against Cummins and Hendo. Before the Gus fight, did Rumble have any truly elite wins? Like Cormier and Rumble, Gus has some good wins, but nothing elite.
Gus is an elite LHW, he didn't get exposed. He got beat by a better fighter, nothing to be ashamed about. I think he beats everybody in the division other than Jones, Rumble and Cormier.

cormier didnt even need to take a fight in the ufc and a title shot against jones would have been appropriate
Sometimes you dont need "elite" wins you just need traction and 1 or more good wins, him being on a 6 or so fight streak with wins over lil nog/davis in the fashion he went about it is/was more than enough.

So you go from (paraphrasing): 'Gus got exposed, who is elite on his resume?' to 'you don't need elite wins' when talking about Rumble. I'm not arguing with your dumbass.
The fact remains, Gus is a top tier LHW fighter. He didn't get 'exposed'. Some people have this idea that when you lose 'you were never good' 'you got exposed', etc.

AJ came up from WW and has a win over a HW during his win streak, surely common sense dictates that you assess a fighter with such feats on a case by case criteria.Gus was primed by the ufc and the manuwa fight (which in their eyes was enough to get him back in contention) was blatant. I never said he wasnt good but high profile losses against davis, jones and now anthony is starting to shed light on his place on the pecking order.Just being a whisker of favorable judging (in the jones fight) seems to have ppl going gaga the reality is once u place an "athletic" fighter with wrestling in front of him and he loses.
