HC: Sherrone
OC and QB: Kirk Campbell (did a great job calling plays with Sherrone out)
DC: ????
RB Coach: Mike Hart (track record speaks for itself)
OLine and TE Coach: Grant Newsome (is to Sherrone what he was to Jim)
DB Coach: Steve Clinkscale (possibly co-DC with whomever they bring in)
LB Coach: ????
S&C: Ben Herbert (most important person to retain and best in all of football IMO)

I like this so far.
If they could steal D’Anton Lynn from USC and continue the Ravens DC pipeline @Silkk :lolbron::lolbron::lolbron::lolbron:

Hell call John any of their DB coaches. I'll like to continue secondary coaches like Minter. Especially with USC, UW, Oregon coming in

Agreed but there is the huge question of whether Sherrone will have access to the Raven's pipeline. I think he will but the easiest way to continue that is to poach the DC USC just hired:

Prior to arriving in Los Angeles, Lynn spent 9 seasons in the NFL. He was the safeties coach for the Baltimore Ravens for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In 2022, the Ravens surrendered just 18.5 points per game, which ranked third in the NFL. Lynn guided a position group that featured Chuck Clark, who piled up a career-high 101 total tackles, and Marcus Williams, who led the defense with 4 interceptions. Lynn also developed rookie Kyle Hamilton, who collected 62 tackles. He was also chosen as East head coach for the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl in Las Vegas.

I'm sure once Jim gets the Chargers going, he will send guys down to Sherrone too.

I don't see why it wouldn't John loves Michigan. I'm sure he'll continue to look out for us long as Moore keep the communication going(he'll be a fool not to). Sherrone knows how important the Ravens have been to our success Mike& Jesse. I have my doubts Lynn would leave USC unless we made an offer he can't refuse worth a try tho. I'm excited for the Sherrone era I hope the University is prepared to give him all the tools necessary to succeed.

Sherrone won't be making Jim money so it has to go somewhere. I say max out Ben Herbert (he already highest paid in college) and the DC's salary with the leftover money. I agree that Jim/John will do everything to see Sherrone win. It helps them just as much to keep using Michigan as a farm system for their lower level coaches to get experience.

After rewatching the National Championship, here are my grades for all DL who played:

  1. Mason Graham: +45 (+46, -1, 44 snaps, 1.023 per snap)
  2. Derrick Moore: +37 (+37, -0, 36 snaps, 1.028 ps)
  3. Braiden McGregor: +35 (+35, -0, 35 snaps, 1 ps)
  4. Josaiah Stewart: +35 (+36, -1, 36 snaps, 0.972 ps)
  5. Kenneth Grant: +34 (+36, -2, 36 snaps, 0.944 ps)
  6. Jaylen Harrell: +33 (+34, -1, 35 snaps, 0.943 ps)
  7. Cam Goode: +31 (+31, -0, 31 snaps, 1 ps)
  8. Kris Jenkins: +28 (+30, -2, 31 snaps, 0.9032 ps)
Washington Notes:

  • Yeah so this was a stat padding game, which is wild to say in the National Championship. Look, this Washington OL should not have won the Joe Moore award. There was some talk about this unit before hand, and I think the salient points were that the interior isn't great and the whole unit benefits from the system. It should probably be restated that the interior sucks - the guards are bad and the center is a fullback doing his best - and the tackles were overrated. This OL is nowhere close to what Georgia or even Bama had this year. It's probably the 3rd or 4th best unit Michigan saw, pretty equal to Penn State imo.
  • None of that is to take away from the execution on Michigan's end however. Still a top half of the schedule OL and Michigan's dominance was thorough.
  • Mason Graham is really special and may actually be the best player on the team. He needs to be in that conversation. There's nobody that is constantly more of a down-to-down difference maker than Graham. 'Equal to' sure, but I don't think more. In the CFP, he turned in +91 on 93 snaps - nearly a perfect 2 games on more snaps than any other DL played all year. Michigan had 6 DL games of 40 snaps or more this year - Mason was 4 of them (PSU, OSU, Bama, UW). He's elite, and he's a warrior. When Michigan played their biggest games of the year, they asked Graham to do more than anyone, and he always delivered. In this game alone, I had him with three +2 plays, and probably could have given more. He was utterly dominant against run and pass - the only negative I hit him with was a missed tackle on 4th and 1 on Washington's final possession that would have been a +2 had he made the play. Special, special player.
  • Kenneth Grant is not on the same special level yet, but he has special moments. Easily the play of the game in my mind was Grant's sack. It was the most dominant individual play of the game. The way Grant walked Washington's 320 lb guard back you would have thought he was on the 270 lb center. Then to finish the play against a QB who is an elite in-pocket mover and avoids those sacks regularly? That was crazy.
  • I can't say enough good things about how Josaiah Stewart has become a high level run defender. He's rightfully known as a great pass rusher, but he plays the run way above his listed size and simply out-muscles a lot of much larger players. His only +2 from me in this game came on an early run where Washington regained the edge by motioning the TE in from out wide, which gave him an easy pin on Stewart. Stewart benched the TE, and walked him back into the running RB in the flat, and the play was stopped for no gain. Grown man *****.
  • Everything else was really just rote dominance. Robotic. Everyone was Jaylen Harrell.
Contown on 247 dropped his DL grades pretty much how I saw it the UW O-line was overrated asf:mjlol:. The interior &RT were horrible playing in the P12 made them look much better than they were. I'll maintain if Michigan used JJ legs it would've been a repeat of the 22 PSU game 400+ yards running. Even Vance spoke to coaches at the hotel they told him there were gonna run through these guys:mjlol:

Is Michigan gonna increase NIL payments tho. Harbaugh wanted the same things

Michigan doesn't control NIL
Harbaugh was pro NIL for players already in the program but against it for recruits so we will see if Sherrone differs there.
