“The most, without naming any favorites, Michigan is recruiting me really hard, Ohio State is recruiting me really hard, probably those two,” Peoples-Jones told 247Sports. “I do have favorites. I’ll be releasing my top ten shortly.”
Michigan is hoping to keep the elite receiver in-state.
“They’re pretty much telling me they really want me. They had a lot of coaching staff changes, a lot of changes around the university, so pretty much going forward, I’m just looking for what they can do for me.”
Peoples-Jones also sees a role with the Wolverines that fits him well.
“I definitely liked Jahu Chesson’s role in the offense. I definitely think he played a big role in the offense. He came up multiple times for Michigan, he was kind of their go to receiver.”
Ohio State is also selling Peoples-Jones on the need for big, talented receiver on the outside.
“They want me to be their big playmaker at receiver, kind of like Mike Thomas. So right now, I’m just weighing out all my options, and I’m still thinking about them.
“I felt they did well. You know, Mike Thomas is big receiver that has that size that college coaches and NFL trainers covet. I think a big playmaker receiver would fit well in their offense.”
Florida is a school that Peoples-Jones has mentioned as being high on his list in the past.
“I have a lot communication with Coach [Kerry] Dixon, Coach [Jim] McElwain, Coach [Doug] Nussmeier, those are a few. Again, they want me to come down there, they really want me to go to Florida. But right, I’m weighing out my options and I look forward to getting back down there.”
He even visited Gainesville over the summer.
“It was nice. I heard a lot of good things about Florida, about their tradition and their history. Being there to see it with my own eyes was big.”
Peoples-Jones says he will make his college decision when he feels the time is right. However, he knows what he wants in that school of choice.
“I want a school to match my academic, athletic and a couple other needs outside of football.”
The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Peoples-Jones as the nation’s No. 10 overall prospect in the 2017 class.
