In some great news for Michigan and their coaching staff, it appears they're going to get #1 overall prospect Rashan Gary back on their campus before National Signing Day, according to his mother Jennifer Coney, who spoke with 247Sports analysts Keith Niebuhr and Kipp Adams on Monday.

"It would definitely be in January right before Signing Day," she said. "We are leaning that way. I want him to go there one more time before he decides. His sister, my husband, all of us will be there."

A visit from Gary would be his fourth to Michigan's campus as a recruit. He's already been on his official visit for the game against BYU and was on campus twice during the off-season.

Embedded above is Niebuhr and Adams' entire interview with Coney, where she talks about what his camp is looking for from their top school and what types of advantages Michigan has in his recruitment.

Type of difference maker we need:feedme:

From what I'm hearing, I'm seriously worried about Clemson right now. More than any other school.

Like.. SERIOUSLY worried.

OL Terrance Davis names leader as he sets official visits

Florida Newsletter

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic offensive lineman Terrance Davis is starting to set official visit dates. He plans to take an official visit Michigan for their rivalry game against Ohio State on November 28. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound prospect has also set an official visit to Georgia on December 11, the final weekend before the dead period starts.

In January, Davis plans to use official visits to UCLA on the 15th, and Alabama on the 22nd. That would leave one official visit let for the final weekend before National Signing Day. Davis stated he's working on setting an official visit to Florida, and that last weekend before signing day might be the date.

Who has the edge for Davis heading into his official visits? "I'd say Michigan," he responded.

He plans to announce his college plans on National Signing Day. The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Davis as the nation's No. 62 overall prospect in the 2016 class.
Really hope we land this kid you can never have to many o-linemen epecially considering how average our line is

Long post forgive me brehs
Rashan Gary
Paramus Catholic

Where will Rashan Gary commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Auburn, Ole Miss
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: Michigan has been looking good here for a while, and it seems like mom is in the Wolverines' corner at this point too, which has become an important storyline in his recruitment. The Wolverines have killed it in New Jersey in the 2016 cycle with Ahmir Mitchell, Ron Johnson and Brad Hawkins and are the favorites for Kareem Walker along with Gary and are still in the race for Jordan Fuller. Gary is not a true defensive tackle to this staff, nor should be. He's an instant impact player on the edge and in the middle and would play immediately next year even with a deep unit returning all of its primary members.

Isaac Nauta IMG Academy
1_4025762.jpg

Where will Isaac Nauta commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Georgia, Michigan, TCU, Ole Miss
Our current prediction: Georgia

The skinny: On our end it's still the status quo in terms of where we think Isaac Nauta will end up, but there's more reason for optimism on Michigan's end than there has been in the past. This is mostly due to a highly successful official visit combined with the Wolverines proving major, major success at the tight end position, with Jake Butt possibly in line to win the Mackey trophy in his first season under Jim Harbaugh. TCU and Ole Miss appear to be on the outside looking in here, but can't be counted out either. Still, unless something changes, we still see Nauta as a Bulldog at the end of the day.

Mecole Hardman Jr. Elbert County
1_3977053.jpg

Where will Mecole Hardman Jr. commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama
Our current prediction: Not Michigan..probably Georgia

The skinny: Michigan has been on the periphery of Hardman's recruitment for a while, but can't be counted out as his timeline will reportedly depend on how his official visit for the Ohio State game goes next weekend. A Jabrill Peppers type player, Hardman is being recruited by Michigan as an athlete that could play on either side of the ball and possibly both. Georgia and Tennessee have set the pace in this recruitment for months, and won't be easy to catch. Still, Michigan may be the school that can.

Caleb Kelly Clovis West
1_3901607.jpg

Where will Caleb Kelly commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Oklahoma, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon
Our current prediction: Oklahoma

The skinny: Kelly was the first official visitor of the season for the Wolverines this year, and Michigan has been in the race for him for months, as he made a strong unofficial visit during the early summer as well. However, the Sooners have been tough to beat for almost any Fresno-area prospect they've recruited in recent years and most think this recruitment will end the same. His Crystal Ball is 100% OU, but I wouldn't classify him as a lock. Still, Michigan may have a couple other players higher on their board at linebacker despite Kelly's lofty ranking. Both Notre Dame and Oregon are darkhorses, with the Irish waiting to host him after a couple cancellations.

Kareem Walker De Paul Catholic
1_3599433.jpg

Where will Kareem Walker commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Arizona State, Alabama, Auburn
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: Walker's decommitment from Ohio State immediately led most, us included, to see Michigan as the clear team to beat in his recruitment. Walker is expected to enroll early at the school of his choice, meaning other schools are going to have to impress quickly to overcome the Wolverines, as they've been recruiting him hard for a while (Arizona State is the only program that can make the same claim). We still see him as a Wolverine at the end of the day.

Terrance Davis DeMatha Catholic

Where will Terrance Davis commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Florida, UCLA
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: One of the major questions for Michigan in 2016 is how the situation with Davis will finish out. If the Wolverines can reel in Jean Delance at tackle, it may be hard for them to fit Davis in, despite the fact that he almost certainly still has Michigan as a heavy favorite. Florida has surged over the last couple months and may be the beneficiary if things don't work out between the two parties. He will visit Ann Arbor next weekend for the Ohio State game after his last visit put Michigan way out in front for his services.

David Long Loyola
1_3880705.jpg

Where will David Long commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Washington, Stanford
Our current prediction: Michigan (no Crystal Ball)

The skinny: Long's commitment to Stanford right now is butter soft, if not really even gone at this point. After that, it becomes a battle between Michigan and Washington, two teams that have maintained their persistence despite his commitment to the Cardinal earlier this summer. Long was in town for the Wolverines' tough loss against Michigan State, but it felt like they may have seized the momentum in his recruitment at that point. He is one of the tip-top targets in this class for Michigan as Jim Harbaugh (and Sarah for that matter), Mike Zordich, Greg Jackson, DJ Durkin, John Baxter and Chris Partridge have all been involved in some capacity.

Jean Delance North Mesquite
1_3817175.JPG

Where will Jean Delance commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Texas, Michigan, Alabama, LSU
Our current prediction: 60% Texas/40% Michigan (no Crystal Ball)

The skinny: Texas and Michigan appear to have set the pace for the Top100 prospect, who says Jim Harbaugh and Charlie Strong have done the best job in building the best relationships with his family, which is important to him. This is one race where the uncertainty behind Strong's job could play into the hands of the Wolverines. Delance has yet to even visit either, meaning momentum could be headed in Michigan's direction in the near future. Definitely a race to keep an eye on.

Dylan Crawford Santa Margarita Catholic
1_3969561.jpg

Where will Dylan Crawford commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Oregon
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: Crawford claims interest in nine schools still, but it'd be a major, major surprise if he didn't end up committing to either Oregon or Michigan at some point. While Michigan appears to have seized the lead after a strong official visit (one in which Michigan reportedly won his parents over), Oregon has come to the forefront also and will host him for an official visit this weekend as the Ducks host USC. This is one race that Michigan appeared to be a lock for about a month ago, but it's now uncertain and will depend on how this official visit goes.

Jordan Elliott Westside
1_3968602.jpg

Where will Jordan Elliott commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Texas, Michigan, Baylor
Our current prediction: Texas (no Crystal Ball)

The skinny: Elliott has publicly named Michigan his leader three times now recently, and has done so without ever seeing Michigan's campus. The Wolverines are absolutely a factor in this race, but the history of his recruitment gives us pause when plugging him in as a potential Michigan commitment. We do believe the Wolverines have Elliott high on their defensive line board.

Donnie Corley Detroit Martin Luther King
1_3898033.jpg

Where will Donnie Corley commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan
Our current prediction: Michigan State

The skinny: Losing Corley would be a massive blow to Michigan State, who has been believed to be the leader for his services for a long, long time. However, Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State remain in the race with Tennessee still sticking around as well. It's a personal hunch, but keep an eye on the Irish in this one, and it's hard to see him choosing Ann Arbor in the end.

Dontavious Jackson Alief Elsik
1_3364872.jpg

Where will Dontavious Jackson commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main Contenders: Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Alabama
Our Current Prediction: None

The skinny: For months, we've argued that Michigan should be viewed as serious contenders for the Top100 prospect out of Houston, as a great four-day unofficial visit in the spring has kept the Wolverines in the race heading into an official visit next weekend for the Ohio State game. Michigan sees Jackson as an impact player in year one in Ann Arbor and that's something that could give them an edge down the stretch. Again, Jackson is another to keep an eye on depending on what happens to Charlie Strong at Texas.

Jordan Fuller N Valley Reg H Old Tappan
1_3883637.jpg

Where will Jordan Fuller commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main Contenders: Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, TCU, Notre Dame
Our current prediction: None

The skinny: Fuller has yet to take any of his official visits, and it appears he may end up taking all of them in January after football season is long over. We're confident that Michigan ends up getting an official, but that's about where it ends in terms of confidence in anything with his recruitment. All of his remaining schools appear to be possible destinations. TCU looks like an outlier, but it's his dad's alma mater and they may get an official as well. Ohio State was once the favorite, but that talk has cooled down during the fall; the Buckeyes remain a factor though.

Lavert Hill Detroit Martin Luther King
1_3898053.jpg

Where will Lavert Hill commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main Contenders: Michigan, Penn State
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: Confidence remains high in multiple directions that Hill will eventually flip to Michigan, but he hasn't yet. He may be waiting until after his football season (King is still in the playoffs) or may not be 100% sure yet that it's what he wants to do. It's a rumor that's been around for so long that some may wonder if it's going to fade away eventually, but everyone we've talked to says it's only a matter of time. Also, the only other possibility we've been given right now is that he sticks with his commitment to the Nittany Lions.

Chris Daniels Trinity
1_1333207.jpg

Where will Chris Daniels commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main Contenders: Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, TCU
Our current prediction: Oklahoma

The skinny: Daniels recently took an official visit to Michigan for the game against Rutgers and came away impressed, although Michigan was convinced that he is going to continue to look around before making a decision. We aren't 100% sure, but our most current intel suggests that Michigan may have both Jordan Elliott and Keyshon Camp higher on their current defensive line board and will see how things go there before moving forward with Daniels. It gets sticky after that because Daniels would prefer to decide on December 18th after a couple more official visits. He'll be at Oklahoma this weekend, and that's where we're plugging him in for now.

Keyshon Camp Lake Gibson
1_3500190.jpg

Where will Keyshon Camp commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main Contenders: USC, Michigan, Texas
Our current prediction: Michigan (No Crystal Ball)

The skinny: Along with Rashan Gary, there's not a defensive line prospect we feel better about eventually choosing Michigan than Camp, who has made the decision to return to Michigan unofficially for the Ohio State game next week after already visiting officially and already seeing USC for the last time while on an official visit a couple weeks ago as well. The status with Camp was in the air throughout the season in terms of being a take or not, but he is now and historically a second return visit usually bodes very well for that team in the end. We'll see how it plays out.

Devin Bush Jr. Charles W Flanagan
1_3354364.JPG

Where will Devin Bush Jr. commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main (only) contenders: Michigan, Florida State, Auburn
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: It'd be a major surprise if Bush Jr. didn't commit to either Michigan or Florida State, although Auburn continues to hang around after a recent official visit to the Plains. Florida State has the legacy factor, with his dad starring for the team back in the day and then moving onto the NFL. Michigan has gone a different route, pitching to Bush Jr. that he could create his own legacy in Ann Arbor. It's an intriguing recruitment when you consider all of the factors at play. We're sticking with the Wolverines until further notice.

Jonathan Jones Oak Ridge
1_3499849.jpg

Where will Jonathan Jones commit to?
All Crystal Ball Predictions

Main contenders: Michigan, Notre Dame, Duke, Syracuse
Our current prediction: Michigan

The skinny: Jones has had a pretty weird recruitment. A four-day unofficial visit after calling Michigan his leader for months seemed to assure a commitment, but it never came and Notre Dame entered the race after a strong official visit to South Bend in October. Duke has been sticking around as well, and Jones randomly showed up on Syracuse's campus last weekend for an official visit. Our belief on Jones hasn't wavered since literally about June: If Michigan has room, and Jones remains a take, he will be a Wolverine eventually.
