it's just not him either the offense as a whole is.This o-line can't run block against any decent D-line but Rudock is the easy target. He's in constant 3rd&long situations because this o-line can't get any push in the run game.Rudock isn't good but neither are the parts around him especially upfront. Two games against good d-lines they didn't do their part either not gonna blame him entirely
I can't get down on this oline. They've played better than anytime since Lloyd carr left. Msu and Utah are ELITE defensive lines. Last 2 years msu dline just jail sexed our oline and it wasn't even funny. This oline is now a good pass blocking o line and avg run blocking oline. They were brutal in both categories before. I disagree about nothin being good around him. We have good offensive players at wr and te and rb. This is a talented team Brady hoke brung in good players they just couldn't coach em. We know ruddock is not some stud qb, but apparently they can win games with him and we all know we should've had that game yesterday. I'm no ruddock flag waver but if it's good enough for harbaugh then I'm rolling with it.

There aren't any playmakers on offense I'm sorry where's our EElloit,Burbridge ect..average QB he does nothing to win a game doesn't lose many game manager. We have very average talent on offense O-line get's zero push against any d-line with a pulse have improved pass protection tho .Our most explosive player on offense is Peppers :sadcam:.People keep harping on that deep ball miss but later in the game Chesson drops ball right in his hands that would've been a huge 1st down:mjcry:.I look at this way Rudock despite his shortcomings had us in position to win that game just sucks our most improved aspect special teams blew it:wow:.

Naw, this is a mentally damaging loss, ain't no coming back from this... Look at the Seahawks this year after the SB :yeshrug:
breh we play Minnesota,Indiana,Rutgers, and a inept PSU team on offense we aren't losing to any of them:comeon:.9-2 going into the OSU game is a vast improvement over where we were last year.Team has a bye week to get over this we'll be fine

One of the worst losses in college football history, & possibly set the program back a few years....damn shame, was rootin for Harbaugh :manny:
thanks for your interest in michigan football

yeah after having some sleep we will be alright. it sucks cause i dont want some recruits that was there to think its same old michigan
at the end of the day our two losses this year are to top 10 teams so it aint all bad. we'll probably (hopefully) finish with just three losses all against top 10 teams. but rudock and the punter and whoever works with the punter that wasnt smart enough to drill into his head to fall on the ball after you drop it can :camby:

If you put a nfl first rd pick at qb on uofm and I bet their offensive weapons would look much better. Those wide open deep looks would be tds. You put ruddock on msu and how would burbridge look. :francis:

Michigan has the best looking running game they've had in 10 years and you mad because they don't have an Ezekiel Elliott who is one of the best backs in the country.

I'm mad we have a five star back that couldn't get a carry yesterday.I'm mad we have a five star lineman that's never lived up to the hype. What nfl talent is on offense?Butt who else? You have inconsistent ass receivers. Our rb is basically a fb at the next level.Qb lacks arm strength and deep ball accuracy some of y'all overrating the hell out of our talent Rudock isn't all the blame

Stanford cornerback commit David Long (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola) said Michigan is "in a great standing right now" following his weekend official visit.

"I'm glad I took the visit," Long said. "I'm definitely sold on what they're doing in Ann Arbor."

Long committed to Stanford in August.

"I'm still firm with Stanford," Long said. "But I'm making sure that things are set in stone as far as many position placement and if that's truly the best place for me. So I'm still evaluating things which is why I chose to take my visits."

Long said Michigan and Washington are tied for No. 2 behind Stanford right now.

Friday he had academic meetings and sat in on meetings with the coaching staff.

He watched Michigan's walkthrough and pre-practice and then ate dinner with the team.

Saturday he watched the team on the field prepare for their game against Michigan State.

"The game was amazing," Long said.

Long met with coach Jim Harbaugh in his office before kickoff.

"Coach Harbaugh is probably one of the coolest coaches I've met," Long said. "He's going to coach you hard, but he's down-to-earth for the most part. We talked about playing defense and how he feels I'm the perfect fit for Michigan and what they're doing."

Wolverines secondary coach Mike Zordich, defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin and secondary coach Greg Jackson all added to the weekend experience as well, per Long.

"Coach Durkin and coach Z are big on me," Long said. "It was a pleasure being around coach Jackson and the rest of the staff as well."

Long said the highlight of the visit was the academic presentation.

He met with both the Engineering and Architecture Departments.

"However the game was by far the craziest game I've been a part of in my life," Long said. "The cold wasn't even a factor. The stadium was live all night. I loved it."

Long officially visited Notre Dame last weekend.

"ND was cool because of the tradition and the football environment installed around South Bend," Long said. "It's an amazing place."

Long doesn't have any other official visits lined up at this point. He plans to officially visit in Stanford in January.

He said his other two official visits will go to either Duke, Washington or Ohio State.

The four-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 7 cornerback and the No. 10 prospect in California in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.
He still has to get admitted at Stanford we have a good shot here

Hearing that Michigan believes they've worked it into a situation where it's a two-team race between them and Georgia.

Obviously Michigan pushed their usage at the tight end position as a major thing for them. SHOULD have him on the phone tonight for a full update but wanted to get this out there for the addicts.

This the type of difference maker we need :feedme:instant impact player

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola athlete David Long took his second official visit this month when he checked out Michigan over the weekend.

Stanford commit David Long took an official visit to Notre Dame a few weeks ago and spent this past weekend in Ann Arbor to check out Michigan.

Long is a two-way player who emerged this past spring as an elite cover corner. Has all the physical tools you could want in a next level DB including size, quickness, top end speed, instincts and toughness. He's a smart player with a high understanding of how to play the game and always competes at a high level. He's smooth in his backpedal, shows explosiveness getting in and out of his breaks and has excellent recovery speed as well-Biggins

"It was a great visit, I liked it there a lot," Long said. "The highlight for me had to be meeting Coach Harbaugh. Coach Harbaugh is great and bring so much passion and energy. He's very active and the whole staff has a ton of energy as well. That's the kind of energy you want from a head coach becasue it affects the entire program.

"The football game was incedible as well. The ending of the game was unreal, I've never seen anything like that before. I didn't even go in to the locker room after the game, I wanted to give the players their space but I hung out with them afterwards. Jake Butt was my host but I spent a lot of time with Jourdan Lewis throughout the visit as well and I connected with all the guys on the team."

In comparing the two MW visits, Long said there were some similarities and differences between the two.

"They're similar in the sense of what they're trying to promite and get out of you but they're built and rooted on different foundations," Long said. "Notre Dame is more traditional and has more of an old school feel to it.

"Michigan is more high energy and Coach Harbaugh is an NFL coach and he's handling the program and building it that way. He really prepares the week in and week out to be successful. They're both great programs but I would say I probably got a little better vibe and felt more comfortable at Michigan, that's where I'm at right now at least."

As for his long time commitment to Stanford, Long didn't sound as rock solid as he had in the past.

"I think there's still some question if they want me more for receiver or corner," Long said. "Notre Dame and Michigan both are recruiting me 100% for corner but I think that's still in question a little with Stanford.

"I'm still committed but I'm also thinking about maybe opening things up a little to make sure I'm doing the right thing. It's such a huge decision and I want to make sure I'm 100% comfortable with it. You can't go wrong with Stanford and I know that but I just want to be totally sure about this."

Long said he's still hoping to visit Washington at some point and is also considering local schools UCLA and USC as well.

When talking to Isaac Nauta Sunday afternoon, he had to say the word "surprised" at least 10 times.

Michigan surprised him and the Wolverines made a move for the No. 1-ranked tight end in the country.

After Nauta decommitted from Florida State over the summer, he named TCU as his top school, with Georgia right there near the top as well. His first official visit went to Georgia a couple of weeks ago with TCU set to have the last one in late November.

Michigan got him on campus this weekend and he was accompanied by his aunt and two cousins who live in Grand Rapids (Mich.). He left feeling very good about the program Jim Harbaugh is now leading.

"I was surprised, very surprised by how much I liked it at Michigan," Nauta said. "It was just a great experience up there.

"This visit opened my eyes, Michigan moved up my list, and everything was great there. The football program is going in the right direction and a Michigan degree carries a lot of weight.

"I mean, if I get a degree from there, I will be set for life. There are so many successful alumni all over the country and I learned a lot this weekend. And it all was good."

Analysis
Nauta is more of an old-school tight end. A tight end who can stay on the field all three downs. Blocking is something he does well. He can look like an extended offensive lineman at times. Very strong and could drive blocking. Has very good hands. Big tight end, but really soft hands that receives the ball well. Can be a real weapon inside the red zone and will be a go-to guy on third downs. Very dependable and has physical and finesse game.

Close
The academic side of things really caught Nauta's attention. He is a very detailed young man, he is set to graduate from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy in December, so academics mean a lot to him, and when he saw first-hand what Michigan had to offer outside of football, he was blown away.

He saw the support staff, he learned about the opportunities a Michigan degress presents when football ends, and outside of that, he saw arguably the best game of the weekend in college football.

"The atmosphere was crazy at the game. It was great a great football game. Michigan did not win, but the game itself was outstanding.

"Then you have 112,000 people inside the stadium, then probably that same amount outside the stadium. The environment was great and the college town was awesome there.

"I knew it was going to be a good experience, but it was a great one."

Jake Butt is the starting tight end for Jim Harbaugh and he was Nauta's host over the weekend. The two communicated a good bit and a few things Butt said to Nauta really stood out.

"Jake was just telling me how he is living the dream right now playing for Harbaugh and how it could be me next," said Nauta. "He told me that there are so many opportunties to make plays in Harbaugh's offense. He told me playing that position for him is second to none. He had a lot of great things to say."

At the end, Harbaugh had a message for Nauta. It was not that he wanted him in maize and blue or needed him in Ann Arbor, it was both.

"Coach Harbaugh told me and showed me that there is a both, a need for me, and a want for me at Michigan. We looked at film, we had a talk, and I saw a lot. at the end of the visit, I was just surprised more than anything else.

"I just did not expect it to be that way. My mind about Michigan has definitely been changed."

Nauta plans to announce his decision January 9 at the Army All-American Bowl. He has now taken official visits to Georgia and Michigan. Alabama, Ole Miss, and TCU visits remain for the 6-foot-4, 240 pound Scout 100 prospect.
