This is like saying Florida had good QBs because they won the SEC East.

A deeply flawed team winning a bad division has zero correlation. We're going to play pretend like we didn't have a top 10 defense and went 5-7 in 2014? We're going to be 6-0 and ranked in the top 5 going into Penn St where we should be favored. Booting this season for "next year" for a qb we never seen before is remarkably stupid. The opportunity is right there. I remember a championship team getting fukked by a QB switcharoo in 1999 to build for the "future", and we had A-Train & Perry. Those that don't learn from the past....

You are arguing shyt that no one is saying but carry on. I mean you brought up 2014 for reasons no one knows because Speight first started in 2016. So he took a team better than the one that won 10 games and won 10 games.........

Again, it's not a physical thing with Peters. It's vocal.

Are these the same sources that told us Morris was running neck & neck with Rudock in 2015, & O'Korn was a shoo in and is groomed for the job in 2016?

I understand everyone's arguments on both sides I to one speight gone but we can't tank this season. We can't lose out on some of these big time recruits for this year or next. We're more talented than everyone on our schedule except for maybe Ohio State even though I don't like the quarterback situation we have to ride it out and hopefully speight will improve enough to not be an issue

You're treating someone that's going to be 16-3 as starter like he's Nick Sheridan status. Of course I'm going to call bullshyt. In lieu of someone you've seen play as much as you've seen Mccaffrey.

Do you truly think Speight is 16-3 as a starter, because of his QB play? Or is it because we've got one of the most dominating defenses of the past few years?

McCaffrey hasn't even taken a snap on film yet. Peters has. We've seen Peters a lot more. And Dcaf weighs about 165 soaked wet right now. He shouldn't even be in this conversation.

Are these the same sources that told us Morris was running neck & neck with Rudock in 2015, & O'Korn was a shoo in and is groomed for the job in 2016?

So now you're questioning inside data that paying members (like myself) are getting from 24/7, Scout, Rivals and ESPN. Because ALL of those competing companies are reporting the very same thing. The only reason Peters isn't playing is because of his lack of vocal command in the huddle. Because even Stevie Wonder can see that his skill set literally shyts all over Speights.

Scroll up and you'll see exactly that. Why is "2018" a talking point?
See my previous post for one. And second, the entire point is that no one actually thinks that there are games Speight will win us. The general idea is that we are winning 9 to 10 games off talent alone so you might as well get the young dude his reps. Against the best teams you have to play Speight like a freshman anyway because of his accuracy issues so I'm not quite sure what your point is. Iowa, OSU, FSU, Wisconsin...any team with a pulse dude was awful. Which good team did he show out against? You are running with this tanking the season angle because it's the only one you have except, as I said before, no one is talking about that except you. Don't push your interpretation on us.

The major problem people myself included have with Speight is his inconsistency. He's one of the veterans on this team leader of the offense guys like him Cole are expected to play well with so many new faces. With a team this young can't afford costly turnovers. The first Int was high even tho Crawford got 2 hands on it Julio Jones would've had a hard time catching that one probably shouldn't have been thrown. 2nd int gotta make that throw was just poor all around:upsetfavre:.He made the check had Crawford wide open down the sideline just a horrible throw:beli:.But then he'll hit Perry on 24 yard post route hell of a throw on 3rd&13 hit Eubanks 48 yard post in double coverage maybe best throw he's made in his career:gladbron:.He has tools but just for fukk's sake put it together against a quality defense:snoop:

In a sense starting Speight is tanking the season. He's going to cost us at least one game. @Penn State and/or @Wisconsin seem like prime opportunities for him to Speight it up. QB position is going to be a handicap this year regardless. May as well put Peters in, play game manager, and get him some experience. Either he'll be ready to make a run with the other young boys next season, or he was never the guy to begin with. We already know Wilton isn't the guy.

Oh well hopefully this conundrum pays off. At least we're reloading again instead of rebuilding. Every season is a potential championship season going forward.

I agree with this a million percent. I'm hoping all of the Harbaugh talk about Peters needing to be more This and more that is just lip service. I'm also hoping that he gets a good amount of playing time these next 4-5 weeks. So he can be an option to start after that.

Luke Fickell is a dogshyt head coach and cincy talent they accumulated under Brian Kelly are tapped out given how they looked against Austin Peay. You'll get your wish to see the third QB.

Yeah if we can get the Speight that started the 2nd half we'll be in good shape but seldom see it on a consistent basis. This offense looks far more explosive then any in previous Harbaugh seasons I think this is what the frustration stems from:snoop:
