so just keep em on ice and be vanilla next year, when next year is the year this squad can legit win a title losing only 2 or 3 starters? or lemme guess, youd rather waste this teams core again next year on speghts senior year? im trading off the "possible" short term setbacks (they can still beat penn st/wisky etc with other qbs just as they can with speight) for the increased chance of winning it all in 2018/2019 by pulling speight as soon as possible. i dont need to see anymore of him

Why do people think that putting in a younger QB is an auto loss? You seen the kid play? These next 4-5 weeks is the PERFECT opportunity to get them live game action. If Harbaugh doesn't, he only has himself to blame when we lose a game or two that we shouldn't later on in the year. And he'll only have himself to blame if we have to start a young, inexperienced QB (whether it's Peters or McCaffery) with the rest of the team LOADED for multiple national championship runs.
Something has to give. Because Speight isn't leading us anywhere other than the citrus bowl again.

For the millionth time ... the only reason that Peters isn't playing is because he doesn't take command of the huddle. Period.
If you're Harbaugh, Are you willing to throw away a chance at a special season because your most talented QB doesn't speak loud enough in the huddle? Honest question.
This dude Peters is just a quiet cat. There's a couple of posters on MgoBlog and 24/7 that see it themselves. He's got all the talent in the world, but he's an introvert. He doesn't talk a lot. At the signing of the stars event, dude apparently looked bored and by himself.
which means he doesn't deserve a starting job. cuz communication and leadership is as important as the arm talent breh. i mean he couldn't even beat out okorn who has zero pocket presence. if you can't beat okorn then you don't deserve to play.
Not throwing away now to get to that. You don't get high draft picks for going 8-4. You just lose recruits.

You're treating someone that's going to be 16-3 as starter like he's Nick Sheridan status. Of course I'm going to call bullshyt. In lieu of someone you've seen play as much as you've seen Mccaffrey.
