Discipline is usually a youth thing, although some players are just dummies. Kyle Kalis is a prime example of that.
Receiver issues are Jim's fault. While Fisch was also coaching both positions like Pep did this year, he had Chesson and Darboh who were rSophomores when he arrived. That means they already had 3 years with an exclusive position coach. Contrast that with Pep whose only veteran receiver missed time do to off the field stuff. Not hard to see how that may be an issue. Bringing in that Sparty to take over one of those positions ia a good move.
I haven't been impressed with Drevno's line work. While I shyt on the Roman rumor, I'm starting to think he had more to do with Stanford's OL success than Drevno did. Hopefully he gets hired somewhere else because I don't see Jim firing him yet.
If Jim doesn't want to make sweeping changes, that's his prerogative. Year 4 is year 4. Like you said, I guess we'll see how it shakes out.
