Penn State has some disciplined athletes at safety.

I wonder what it’s like to have athletes back there. :mjcry:

I know it was only Rutgers but Peters looked markedly better than O'Korn. The o-line has been play better since benching Ulizio for JBB, but they are still trash. With a QB who can make check downs we should be able to Minny and the Terps; however, Camp Randall is a daunting task for a veteran QB let alone a redshirt frosh.

Agreed especially the part about the O-line until they prove it against a legit defense they are:trash:

I agree.. but i can see us pulling it out in Camp Randall. It'll be a grinding game like last year, but I think we can do it. The D should get up for them. And if our QB can just stop giving opposing teams the ball ... who knows what these kids can accomplish.

Probably like last year when we had Delano and Dymonte...

Selfishly wish Peppers came back and Jeremy Clark got his medical redshirt. Since Vert, Long, and Watson are holding their own we could of had Clark at FS and Hudson could be at SS since Peppers would still be the viper. Penn State couldn't abuse the physical 6'4" Clark the way they did Kinnel and Metellus wouldn't be starting.

I like your optimism but I don't see it objectively speaking. We had a better team last year and it took everything to win at home. Now we're young and on the road? But 3 weeks could make all the difference.
