I've made a lot of heat with it, but I may need to get with the times.

ive got friends with the same setup as you and i told em dont bother, since they already making that heat.. all the Maschine is, is an advanced controller for an FL type software..

i would recommend it to anyone who is still using older Tech like I was the old MPC's or anyone who hasnt grasped reason/ or FL yet and wants something more hands on..

i've only had Maschine for like 4 days so my vote doesnt really count tho.

you got a nice set up, except when it comes to sampling. and thats my issue...my workflow is steady and fast, until its time to work with a sample...

Bruh you're right! I've been doing this for years so I still rock Cool Edit Pro and sometimes Edison to chop samples. The process is so tedious that it grinds my workflow to a halt and makes me stop wanting to make music.

I will say that some of my best beats have come from dragging a short sample into FLSlicer, doing some slight manipulation of the slices, and going to town.

I love that shyt cuz its has the ability to do mp3s and doesn't create new files out of the chopped slices. I just wish the editor was bigger. I don't have an answer for Reason because Recycle is mad tedious.

I wonder if the new FL's have an updated slicer. To me that's the perfect sampler and all I really need.

Maschine made for sampling man.....shyt so easy some dayz I just fukk around and sample anything and make the dopest shyt

:ohhh: I'm gonna check out some of these youtube vids before i dl the software.

FL Studio has a very good slicer.. and aint nothing wrong wit cool edit lol

I use Audition to chop a 3 minute mp3 into 12sec wav sections.

then i drag and drop right into maschine..

Maschine's sampler mode is the truth, too easy to make alterations and drag and drop.. Imo slicing samples on the maschine is better than the mpc for now at least..

2000xl:leostare: Perfect for quick beat making, makes straight up bangers, the swing everything, sequence and song mode perfect..

but the Maschine can do shyt to samples that the MPC can only dream of and the ease of use with drag and drop to me makes it superior at the moment..

and lol at ya boy..

you should see all the zip disks around my basement studio i feel like :upsetfavre:

you can sample in maschine directly, even resample a sample lol

but nah, im still getting used to things on the maschine thats why im chopping in adobe then drag and drop into maschine to fine tune with the knobs, doesnt take as long as u think.
