The record store concept is a bit unclear. Looked like Andre gave Vida's aunt the ultimate record scratch :picard:. The actor who plays him is doing a really good job in presenting a calm, sinister vibe.

The ending with Tandy and Tyrone fighting back at the motel was :whoo:.

Show still OD's on the songs though.

When she showed up in the store. Your man was like:gucci:

I missed the first half hour of this, but from what I could tell this episode reminded me a lot of that Season 1 episode where Tandy was stuck in the fake mind realm and Tyrone was trying to convince her it wasn't real. That was my favorite episode of the show, too.

Season 2 has been really good. Loving Andre/D'Spayre as the villain and the deeper explorations into vodou/vodun.

So with Evita marrying Semedi, her and Ty can't be together in real life correct? That seemed to be the implication, but is the spirit dude going to come to the real world if they go on a date and beat up Tyrone :skip:

Not trying to be a broken record, but is there a reason why the show plays so many songs? Like every scene has some music to go along with, and I feel sometimes it undercuts the emotion instead of accentuating it. I thought shows have to pay artists for using their music correct?

The whole Final Fight/Streets of Rage game homage was well done :ehh:

Damn, at Tyrone's mom. Did not expect that :wow:

Yeah, a couple questions about this:

In the actual mythology, isn't Baron Samedi already married to another loa?
For that matter, how exactly does a human-loa "marriage" work? Like, what do both sides get out of it?

I haven't been enjoying this season as much as Season 1 and the episodes that have been focusing on the voodoo stuff have really been weak to me.
Things have been convoluted and not very clear at all.

And maybe it's just me but the Double Dragon style video game sequence that used the Cloak & Dagger comic book origin of Ty & Tandy getting their powers from super-heroin and becoming anti-drug vigilantes seemed like a much more interesting angle than whatever amateur voodoo enthusiast written nonsense we have been getting from this show.

:whew: No Coli Militant, But I just watched last week's episode & I gotta admit Evita is finer than Tandy.

The music on this show is still horrible, I try to ignore it but they always insist on turning it up to max, it seems like the songs be playing forever.

Music aside the first episode was pretty good

LOL, this show reminds me of the early seasons of "Smallville" (especially the first season of "Smallville") with the constant playing of pop music..
