Marvel's Agent Carter Gets Two-Hour Premiere

ABC is doubling down on Marvel's Agent Carter series by turning its debut into a two-hour event.

Marvel's Agent Carter, which premieres on Tuesday, January 6th at 8/7c on ABC, will kick things off with a two-hour premiere.

An all-new episode of Forever will follow the double-sized Marvel debut, which centers on Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter character first introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Agent Carter is now being called a "seven part" television event since this two-hour premiere is most likely the combination of two episodes, changing the initial reports of the show being eight parts.

Here's the series summary...

It's 1946 and peace has dealt Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy finds herself stuck doing administrative work when she would rather be back out in the field, putting her vast skills into play and taking down the bad guys. But she is also trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers – aka Captain America. When old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, “Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger”) finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash, he contacts Peggy -- the only person he can trust -- to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name. He empowers his butler, Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy), to be at her beck and call when needed to help assist her as she investigates and tracks down those responsible for selling these weapons of mass destruction. If caught going on these secret missions for Stark, Peggy could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison – or worse.

Was I the only person who was :whew: to see Agent Tripplett survive?
not really, after a great introduction last season they've clearly reduced him to token status. And his subservient demeanour as he addresses coulson is cringey no other character talks to him that way but the shiniest blackest dude in the room? :camby:

:shaq2:Yeah I posted this a few weeks ago in this thread:
:beli: Looking at the opening credits for this week's episode, B.J. Britt (Agent Triplett) is still NOT part of the regular cast. He's still a recurring character.

This season has been so fire.

I read its because he's a regular on some BET show. There's a rumor that he was on the Avengers 2 set so he should be around for awhile.
doing one of 2 things, bag handling or obeying orders while uttering damn. For all you know it could just be the actor being a non speaking extra so I wouldn't read into anything

Triplett's use seems to be fine for me. For a 44 minute show that he's probably #6 or 7 in the line behind the OG cast (coulson, sky, may) he has been involved in pretty much every episode, especially during the final missions at the 45 minute mark every week:yeshrug:

I am up to the episode where ward breaks out and it's evident the new British guy is the dude they are giving the baton to while trip is just in the shadows serving coulson and saying one syllables like damn
