I don't think so. Lucha Underground is heavily tied to its deal AAA in which Konnan held an important creative position, part of which involved promoting LU, but the troubles between talent and management has soured that relationship as Konnan has largely sided with the talent and his role in the company has been reduced to a minimum. This all happened over the course of the past couple months which probably explains why he was written off the show (but in a vague enough way that he could possibly come back eventually).

whats fun is that I can't predict it. You've got some clear cut faces and heels, but people cheer and boo who they want to depending on their actions, and the storylines reflect that.
Like the whole Mundo/Alberto/Texano shyt.
Mundo clicked up with Puma to fight the crew as a face all the while being #1 on Dario's shyt list
Alberto shows up as a face to MUCH fanfare
Texano shows up as a heel and whips the hell out of Alberto
Alberto fights Texano as a a face.... then passively agressively antagonizes Puma and Mundo as a Heel? A tweener?
Texano gets attacked by this Disaronno DiGorno dude or whatever.. dude heels it up then Texano is suddenly face!?
Mundo puts Alberto through a window... I wasn't even mad. But then... this made Mundo a heel?
Mundo says he's the face of the company... and hell, he was the american with the MAJOR star power day one ouside of Konnan

Hell, I'm guessing Konnan comes back as an enemy to Puma while working for Catrina... while also putting him at odds with his mortal enemy and salt sprinkler Vampiro and his Anakin Pentagon Jr. (admit Vampiro looks like emperor palpaltine. admit it.)
I would also expect Pentagon to go after Mysterio for obvious reasons, but Mysterio is out and I'm not sure they would take t there anyway.
But honestly, with this on the fly booking? Who even knows.

Nah, I think the only things they changed in S1 on a whim was turning Blue Demon heel because Chavo got injured almost right before Ultima Lucha. There was a lot of long term planning involved in Pentagon Jr, probably more so than most of the roster outside of Puma and Mil Muertes.
Lucha underground saved me from being one of those people who complain about WWE. Aint shyt to say about Lucha Underground. Promos are dope, storylines are exciting and there is always character progression. Everyone is booked strong so every match feels important. Wrestlers go out of their way to give us new shyt every time they get in the ring.
