I like Mint better than Ubuntu. For some reason, it runs a program like Webstorm faster than Ubuntu. It's pretty much like Windows. I prefer to run it through VMWare as compared to VirtualBox. VMware is faster.

Some of the old Crunchbang community started up their own variation. Been using it on virtualbox, its not bad so far, although I'm not a heavy Linux user.

Hello, I'm trying to play this 3D shmup that's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. I sent the game to a buddy of mine who runs Mac and he's able to play it easily. Yet on Ubuntu 14.04 I can't seem to be able to get it to run.

I use Linux Mint now. I may never go back to Windows with all the privacy violations that Windows has.

I think I'm going to delete ubuntu (format the drive) and install mint. I've tried mint on usb and like the desktop environment way more than unity (I know you can install cinnamon on ubuntu but I heard it's buggy). May even setup a separate 30 gig partition for Kali Linux (for 'research' purposes).
