Badr's jab looked vintage. Mint. He blew a lot of energy in round 1 but looked good doing it. Rico doesn't like getting pressed. I think Rico would have gained ground with time but he would have to survive to do so, and make up the point gap or KO before the end of three rounds
Also fight of the night was Michael Duut V Danyo Ilunga. Very exciting fight.

Gokhan Saki has been tweeting since the Hari fight. Has challenged Rico and Bonjaski (who said he'd be open to fight the winner of Rico-Badr)
I feel he needs to stick to LHW but he has always been fearless, willing to fight guys 30+ pounds and 5 inches taller. I hope he takes the LHW title first if he gets a big fight at HW later that would be a bonus.

I don't like how kickboxing judging doesn't reward slick fighters, same shyt happened to Adesanya when he fought Simon Marcus. I get that Wilnis was doing good legwork but I felt Adesanya was much more well rounded.

He controlled the pace and his muay thai knee kicks were the most dazzling strikes of the night. He also never seemed hurt.

I would have a tough time scoring that Wilnis/Adesanya fight. I thought Adesanya looked slick and stylish in his work but Wilnis was coming forward with pressure and hacking away at those legs.

Yoann Kongolo though? :whew:

I got to respectfully disagree. Ismael didn't do any damage. He aimed to control with his jab but there wasn't much there for Wilnis to worry about. Wilnis picked his moments and made them count more often, especially working the legs.

*Israel*, I rewatched the fight using this angle and I still got him winning. Not enough credit during the broadcast was giving to Adesanya for his bodywork, he was fukking up Wilnis's body with knees, kicks, and punches, and even with Wilnis's high ass robotic guard he was still penetrating thru with punches to the head. Maybe if he had his cornermen scream out "Aye" with every punch/kick thrown(regardless of whether or not they actually landed) he would have got more love and won the fight on the scorecards. To each their own but most of the combat enthusiasts and media I follow on twitter judged it for Adesanya.
