Hey guys, name your top 5 Keto meals. I'm looking for a little more variety/recipes. Here are my top 5:

1. Grilled shrimp arugula salad with avocado, tomatoes doused in fresh lemon juice
2. Grilled chicken, veggie kabobs
3. Blackened tilapia with cauliflower rice, and garlic lemon sauteed spinach
4. Oven baked salmon with butter garlic sauce, lemon and garlic kale salad on the side
5. Romaine lettuce wrapped beef tacos

Also, lately I've been experimenting with faux carbs, like keto lasagna noodles and keto pancakes. They're pretty good, so they get honorable mention.

This morning was 4.1mmol/L and after chest and arms I was this high in the 7mmol/L. Never tested my ketones after working out til now. Any yall have high ketones while working out? Im only on week 3 of keto diet and lifting fyi.

What differences have you all noticed since kicking sugar (and carbs that are sugar in drag) to the kerb folks?

im not doing strict Keto...
...but ive dumped sugar/carbs, do IF, and will do a 36 hour fast once a week.

BP is down about 10 points in 5 days.

im not a fat breh either (lift 3/4 days a week and a cyclist)...
...but I noticed my circulation felt different.
Then at my last two dental cleanings they told me my BP was kinda high.

I ignored it but then decided to get my blood work done.
Blood sugar and a1c was on the high end of normal.

IMO I think the food hits black folks different and we shouldnt be following a western diet.

I do agree that this is the best choice in terms of health, especially for those with melanin in their system because all of that white rice, white sugar and the rest causes irreparable damage to the organs due to lifestyle decisions:



Its interesting once you shift as the mental aspects of clarity, stability and a constant level of energy is something I feel everyone should experience. Also you get way fuller with way less as I now see carbs are akin to dope in how they keep you fiending.

yeah my blood pressure dropping that fast has me convinced.

im 6'1 185 so its not like im out of shape.
and ive always been careful about what I eat.

I can only imagine what folks who dont workout or watch what they eat are going through.

Doesnt work that way for men. In men, fat boosts your testerone levels which is why u have energy up the ass in ketosis. I had to look that shyt up because after the first week my energy levels were thru the roof.
Are you still on keto and is it impossible to bulk on keto for muscle gain ?
I'm just thinking after this summer cut Idk if I need to go back ok carbs.

I'm just thinking after this summer cut Idk if I need to go back ok carbs.
nah i been off of it since 2019. Technically you could bulk on keto but wont be optimized as carbs are the best for muscle energy.

Keto shouldnt be a lifestyle IMO. just something to help u lose weight as the fats and proteins keep u full as fukk and consuming less calories. I wouldnt do it no more than half a year.

It's helps control hunger like no other diet by keeping you full.

What's your diet like now and how are you maintaining?

I just eat realitively healthy. Eggs, white meats, fruits and veggies, home cooked meals to control the amount of sodium used, ect.

Ill have some pizza or a burger a couple of times a month but my GI acts up on greasy foods so i stay away from shyt like that.

Been on a keto/carnivore cycle most of the year. I always tend to start up with the World Carnivore month in Jan and ride the wave until I feel to change.

Me and my food choices when eating carbs have been terrible when things are wild in life (crazy year), so this pretty much keeps me where I need to be physique wise at this moment in time without effort.

Keeping cheats to once a week (Pizza) or none (Wings and Sauces) which feels like one since not eating them in the week.

Big 3:

Meat

Eggs

Cheese

(Recently) Nuts :dame:


May need to cut those out tho.
