Took me a while to figure it out, but The Spotify app on android is great for Podcasts. You just go to my library, Podcasts, and land on the episodes page...a direct feed of any shows you follow and the episodes you haven't listened too yet, newest to oldest. You can click the check mark to mark any as listened to if you want them out the feed. And there's a tab for eps you downloaded (good for flights) and shows (just a full list of every show you follow).

Folks are invested in the show and Joe. Dont need 100k people to pay. Maybe you only get 20,000 or 10,000. At 5 dollars a month you can do the math.
Plus whatever add dollars received from free platforms. Why wouldnt you charge if you could. Time is time and money is money. If all parts are equal there will be audience for a paywall.
I dont know if i would pay but certainly someone would.
