He was talking about Alan Grunblatt calling him recently talking about his album recouped, I thought those indie deals were low budget albums with high degree of freedom. It really took Joe retiring after a whole career to understand how to not get fukked in the industry

If he was completely dropped on all his UMG obligations, he must've been severely finessed to get finessed again by not only one but two different indie labels with both group and solo deals
