Social media way more broad now.
There's more platforms now but Joe was rapping during the social media era, Nobody gave a fukk about him as a rapper. Just look at all the other shyt he went viral for:

Live tweeting Kicking Paige out of the concert on Twitter
Chasing the kids down the street
The battle rap with ol boy
The shyt with Migos at the awards
Numerous interviews over the years
etc.

Matter of fact Joe and Soulja Boy were the first ones to really even break in on youtube with vlog like content.

Yea even had Drake on his channel, but more eyes on social media now than ever before. It’s taken over television.

I agree

Im just saying I don't think nobody cares about Joe's trash ass music lol. I can't tell you how many times I actually tried to get into his music. shyt just wasn't it for me.

He loves to compare himself to Fab but Fab is somebody imo who knew how to do it all musically. Joe didn't.

They’re both from the same Desert Storm DJ clue cloth, I can see some similarities just Joe makes more music trying to get into the mainstream.

I think the exact opposite. Unlike Fab or Banks, Joe didn't try hard enough to get into the mainstream imo.

Crazy to me that he never tried a Gangsta Grillz with Drama during that great run those tapes had.

I thought Joe tried but just sucked at it. He has a bunch of songs that were obvious attempts at crossing over that just didn't stick at all. I remember after all his talk of Def Jam stifling his creativity and he finally got dropped he comes out with Gangsta Party.

Sounds like where Drake got his style from. He admitted himself.
