Idk about starting the narrative(working like a slave) but he been lowkey hating on the deal since he signed it. Started giving flowers at first but then started kicking his back in for signing it(in the same episode iirc). He wanted Drake to "change the industry" and go indie. Ish and Ice had to argue against Joe saying drake probably doesnt want to put in that type of work to grind musically at 35. Going the indie route puts a lot more on the plate of the artist to handle stuff. After that he then moved to the "drake cant take a break" stuff.
