So glad Ak called the fake titles out. Joe definitely made up a title while at Spotify and he used to have it on his Twitter bio. It was some weird C-suite title with the word “Content” mixed in it. I remember that.

They definitely overdo it. They was saying the south look at Biggie and Jay as just "okay". Sure in some instances there are people from the south that don't hold our legends in high regard as much as we do, but acting like Biggie isn't huge in the South is crazy. They overcompensate. The south is damn near 50% of the the US, if all their artists were major there and NY artists only major on the east. Then, their artists should’ve been double diamond or more if an NY artist is diamond. Then Puff, Jay and them wouldn’t sell out shows there faster than their own artists. Also Puff been living in Atlanta for like over 20 years.

I'm almost positive Joe was lying about the terms of that deal. He made it sound like spotify was asking for permanent ownership of the podcast and any side business Joe and the Co host were involved in. If that's true then that would mean Joe's the only person to get that type of offer from spotify.
He tried to bring up Bill Simmons deal as well, and when he tried to start a "network" he ended up getting accused of sexual harassment and profit skimming.
I think it's killing him myself. That's why we see him throwing a bunch of shyt at the wall hoping it sticks. More guests. Trying to beef with more people and troll more, including throwing more blatant shots at R&M. Going so hard against Megan. He's trying to recapture the magic and get them hot again.
