“Nobody Gets Me” is a huge banger in that world.

Zaire Franklin segment was cool. Wish they would’ve asked him more about things like tackling Derrick Henry, which players are a bytch to play against, etc.

I have zero respect for Ice, who seems like little more than a consumer of #content. I haven't listened to the SZA album yet but how do you knock someone for not giving you what you wanted after a 5 year wait...then admit you only listened to eight songs? I don't care that he put an asterisk on his criticism. You complain about the wait but couldn't actually listen to the album in full before shytting on it?

We're raising generations of people who have no appreciation for art, cannot intelligently critique it (positively or negatively), and do not care about context. It's just pure consumption. Watch this, then watch this. Listen to this, then listen to that. On and on. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's a MCU stan either. This bullshyt is exactly what Disney is conditioning people to do do.

Him not liking Nope is a perfect example. I'm not gonna say if you hated that movie you have bad taste. That's subjective. But he watched that movie and said it was full of scenes that made no sense, had nothing to do with the plot, etc etc, which tells me he's not smart. He went into a movie with his brain turned off - just as it's turned off when he consumes everything he likes. And when faced with a movie that requires some thought, and has themes you have to contextualize or consider, he shut down and said "this sucks." No spoilers but...all the stuff with the Asian guy, his past, and how it influenced his behavior in that movie was important.

The problem I have with the pod now is it feels like I’m listening to a bunch of losers talk. Joe is the obvious personality but he’s either sick in the head or playing up the entertainment side of podding, Ice is a huge loser formally of the Akademiks he man woman haters mold, and Ish is a recovering dead beat dad who makes valid points but argues with Joe too emotionally when he ain’t just outright wrong.


But it’s entertaining.

The Jordan Peele dislike in general is weird. Peele is brand new in film only directing three movies yet people, and not just the JBP, will act as if he's been doing this for decades with dozens of films under his belt and all he delivers is duds. If I can recall correctly Ice said something along the lines of "He ain't gon trick me again" after Nope... just dumb.
