Nas stans are so miserable lmao
I'm a stan but yea...it's insane. I think the problem is that Nas fans want it both ways now. I vividly remember when Jay was running up the score, stacking hits and bangers and collabs with all the best producers. I remember when Black Album came out and was hailed a classic. I also remember when Street's Disciple came out and was clowned. And from there on out there was nonstop, yearly banter about how hits don't matter, radio doesn't matter, sales don't matter, Grammys don't matter, Nas is real hip hop, etc. Mind you, SD came out two years after God's Son which had two big hits on it, that would ultimately end up being his last hit records.
So now here we are in 2022. The second half of Jay's career was filled with big records, big moments, etc. And the second half of Nas' career was filled with a string of albums no one really cares about outside of stans. But over the last couple years Nas has dropped a lot of dope music and fans now want all the things they said didn't matter back when the Nas v Jay competition was still active in people's minds. You shunned that shyt for a decade and fell into mainstream irrelevance, now you're mad Nas isn't doing 100k first week and getting radio play?? That ship sailed. Enjoy the music and stop caring what other people think.
This is a great time to be a Nas stan. He's making dope shyt! So why are ppl miserable...
