Liked the last pod but the Nas love feels very forced. They do this every time he drops a new project since KD but after will will go back to the little jabs, cutting songs off before Nas raps, Budden questioning slyly how Nas wrote some of the lyrics on KD 2, blatantly not mentioning Nas whenever the greats are mentioned. It is what it is, Ish can go listen to Meg the stallion.

It's your fault.

It you stans who have been harassing them since Ep1 who make them come out with a defensive position

I feel like Joe and them act like it's impossible for a 20-something hiphop fan to have some hiphop knowledge.
Joe always talks about how he was outside in the early 90s, acting like he wasn't like 10 years old.

Like 21 savage was is only 12 years younger than Joe, dude talking like he's not supposed to know who Nas is. Breh I listened to Miles Davis, Stevie or The Beatles and barely my dad was born when they came out.

They act like they everyone is just an average 15 year old, that hiphop fans don't among people who are under 30. Then they'll use some dumb example like "I met a young girl and she thought Kodak was the Goat, that's how everyone under 30 is". PhDs in statistics :snoop:

Harass? I leave them alone but just notice the slights, they are obvious. Nas isn't a friend of the show and that's OK. Ish and Parks takes on the album seem the most authentic

Not you personally, Nas stans.

That's obviously why they're coming out from a defensive position. They are the only stans of a respected rapper who moved like barbies or those Korean k-pop stans. Just look at 21 savage videos, social media, his friends, probably outside of his house too. And these dudes are often old as fukk too :mjlol:

I do think the majority of people aren't willing to put in work to expand their horizons and just listen to what is hot. And I think it's almost a case of there being too much to listen to. Just keeping up with all the current artists is a hard enough task much less having all of music history at their fingertips. Add in all the streaming options and I do think it's not likely for younger people to not be familiar with the GOATs from our era. When we was coming up wasn't all that much on TV to watch so left a lot more time for listening to music.

I was one of the nerds when I was young that bought music from all regions and even went back and bought a buch of the classics. I was laughed at by the majority of my classmates for bumping old ass Big Daddy Kane or Rakim or NWA.

I like the youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKC725227kUrIiW-52TESyw/videos with a bunch of young dudes listening to some old music they've never heard. It's funny seeing them being blown away by old storytelling tracks or songs that had an actual message. They stay saying stuff like Wayne is the GOAT or how Nas and Jay ain't really all that great.

The nas love is very forced. Its always followed up with a weird critique. This time its he doesnt “let noggas know about his pen game” yet bigs up drakes remedial punchlines about woman wanting to be models but aint been in en vogue.

The bais is real. Just leave nas alone and talk about jay, drake, meg, and whatever else gossipy shyt is in the atmosphere.

That’s what I’m saying, you can’t judge everybody from the two three you met
