breh stop. i know they did, those venus were not big at all.
and i totally agree about doing smaller venues, but all in all the live podcast thing has kind of gone by the wayside.
Beacon Theater in NY holds close to 3K capacity, and when I attended in Jan 2020 it was definitely sold out.
Fact is the pod jumped the shark a while ago, a good amount of those kinda fans lost interest because of Joe’s ways and naturally the live podcast shyt is just not it in most cases. I explained in here that it was not worth the $100 per ticket my wife paid (Christmas gift), bootleg ass $0 production with several hiccups. Whatever production dollars there went to the venue and paying Teanna Trump to sit on Mal’s lap for a few minutes.
Honestly a show like this doesn’t deserve a venue of over 1k, and it was blatantly obvious that Joe was hustling fans with the tour back then because they subtly bragged about how much money was made on podcast episodes following the tour. Any fan who attended and didn’t see that was just a blind fool.
Same shyt happened a couple years prior when my cousin took me to a Desus and Mero show. Production was weak and it’s just not ideal for that setting. Made me lose interest altogether after attending.
