Joe’s biggest issue is that his ego is too big for his own good

Joe is the talent. He should be the SAS, Joe Rogan, etc of the culture as a talking head. He’s not equipped to manage a business or network or be in charge of anything. Joe, Rory and Mal should’ve all been on salary at Spotify. Everyone could see giving Joe a bag of money to manage and produce a podcast with for 2 years would lead to disaster.

He had that at Spotify. He created his network that failed miserably because he fukked up the Spotify deal.

You're not wrong, honestly. I would love to hear Joe take a step back and finally admit that the Spotify deal was a huge opportunity that got fumbled. Idec if he doesn't take full fault but stop pretending like you did yourself or the pod a favor by that deal being gone.

I also think he kinda scrambled for that network tbh. Mainly for leverage without actually thinking about if it would work for his audience. If you know your pods demo like that, what made you think the first two things they wanted to see from the network was two woman driven/focused pods?

Hell, he probably would have done better just having Bridget Kelly on as a rotating/frequent guest mic like he's doing surf.


I did find it interesting he came to complex with not only his pod and everyday struggle, but that ak was willing to have a podcast under him (unless I misconstrued that, but it sounded like he was gonna start a pod under Joe and Joe was gonna sell/license it to complex with everything and the Gilbert arenas pod)

If Joe let's his ego slide a lil bit, he could 100% leverage how much a lot of people in his field seem to genuinely love/respect him. He should be humble enough to wanna link with ak/Adam/etc more often and publicly

Yep. I think him hearing rumblings about what CTG was doing with his network made him rush things too.

Spotfiy - The only thing I say Joe fukked up was burning the bridge. I can't blame him if he didnt want to do the Spotify deal if they wanted rights to everything, even stuff like the Pull Up.

That doesn't get discussed enough when it comes to him not taking the deal. They wanted EVERYTHING, which is kinda wild. I'm pretty sure they're not taking ak's YouTube channel or twitch streams, yk?

Also ak is pump faking about the whole twitch shyt. Not saying he isn't or wasn't popular, but he conveniently left out ppl like adin Ross who I'll argue has immediately been way more influential when it comes to rap and twitch, going as far as to have several rappers in his live streams for hours.

Bro had uzi on stream dying his hair and freestyling, has tory lanez chilling, had nle Choppa and all his nikkas in there, having almighty Jay doing those e-dates.


Joe and ak are way more similar than people think. Ak is just more up front friendly. I haven't listened to the wack and Joe convo but I find it super interesting they're talking about ak potentially fukking his Spotify deal up by having goons or whatever in there.

And it's something he's gonna have to continue doing as he keeps getting himself involved in shyt he has no business being in.

Y'all keep taking Joe at his word. Y'all ain't realized he's a habitual liar yet? We really have no clue what Spotify offered as Joe has changed stories plenty of times and loves to play with facts to paint a narrative.

Overall though yeah Joe had EVERY right to turn down the Spotify deal. His fukk up was burning the bridge on the way out. His ego got the best of him. Even if he had no intention of ever working with Spotify again you at least want to keep them around as an option simply for negotiation leverage with any future company he talks to.

He literally stated both complex and Spotify were open to working with him again and ak didn't refute it. The only thing Spotify told ak was that he shytted on them before, but even ak wasn't saying they would never work with him again.

I know Joe's a piece of shyt and makes himself very easy to hate, but a lot of yall are letting whatever you have against him block what's actually going on.

Ak literally said he went to Spotify saying him and Joe may work on something again, they didn't say no, just that he shytted on them before. Joe said they were still open to working with him and had meetings for a year over his price and even with "ak cooking him" he didn't refute that or the complex point

All signs are pointing towards them doing something together that Spotify is interested in, or at least that's what it's sounding like off the two or 3 hours I heard so far.
