Right after saying that, Rory says they were sent the correct accounting and it showed that joe was telling the truth about overpaying them.
From 47:25 to 48:45 listen to the whole thing this time. Right after that point Rory goes on to explain how they were paid and that Joe was fair the entire time.
No I did listen to the whole thing and he never said that. Again he's quoting what Joe said to him and about Joe's accounting which was bullshyt and thrown on a spreadsheet. Joe the one that told them they were overpaid. They asked for him to show them and he gave them a bootleg spreadsheet.
"Did I get accounting that said I was overpaid..yes I did..but just show me the regular accounting" and as we all know Joe never did and decided to fire them. Mal even follows it up and says he didn't think they were overpaid and makes a point you don't talk to people the way he did if he thinks he's overpaying them.

This whole new Joe came out when he fukked over Mal and Rory, before that it was "I'm for the creators", "fukk the machine", "fukk the labels", "mr head of creator equity".
If you listen to the entire video, earlier they did say they finally got the accounting during the month break. The spreadsheet they got was sent back in 2019, they had an audit done and it was handled by their lawyers. They got the correct information right before getting fired.
Mal said he felt underpaid because you dont overpay someone you dont respect, that's not a valid arguement. Right after that Rory says its was never about money, and admitted that they did get raises after leaving spotify. He explained how much they were paid and made it clear that he never claimed that Joe was stealing from them.
I never said he was stealing I just Rory said he was never shown the accounting and never said "I was overpaid" That's it. Him saying he got paid nicely with the Cash App and Patreon check is not guilt of saying "I was overpaid".
