Rory and Mal’s merch leans way too much on ‘aesthetic’ and looks too try hard.
On the total flip side, this JBP merch looks like ASS and like they had Parks find the corniest graffiti / boom bap type font he could find and screen print it on some Gildan sweats.
Get all of this the fukk outta here. I’m praying for anybody that buys any of this with intention to wear outside.

Rory’s in a love affair w/ Aime Leon Dore and that’s cool and all but you can tell he ran w/ the creative direction; I fukk w/ ALD and I respect the ‘lifestyle’ angle Rory and Mal tried to put on this merch, but it’s hard to have merch look ‘nice’ like that when at the end of the day…… it’s still a t-shirt for a podcast. Idk exactly what I’m trying to say, but it’s hard to be ‘fashionable’ and stan a podcast at the same time
Honestly the old JBP merch where it was just a ‘Friends of the Show’ was a good compromise.

Agreed.
My point in them taking their names off it is to hide that it's for a podcast.
The clothes looks good on it's own and most ppl might by it thinking it's just a nice brand.
But if you know it's for a podcast it's too fancy.
The FoTS merch was definitely a good middle ground.
Or Rory and Mal coulda done some merch with just their logo and not their names.
I dunno what it is about their names that makes the merch lame to me
