I bet right now, somewhere in the universe, there are two civilizations from nearby solar systems in contact with each other. Some making regular visits. Some at war. Some exchanging knowledge.
In other places there are probably two civilizations that popped up in the same solar system. Maybe at different times, millions or billions of years apart, or maybe even at the same time.
The possibilities are endless given the amount of stars they are.
