The deal will go through this is just theatrics for his coalition partners. He wants to give Trump a win for his inauguration and can survive an election based on his latest approval ratings.

Ben Gvir is gone. But he can’t have the government fall.

Smotrich is the one who can collapse it and he wants the war to continue after Phase 1.

Opposition already said they’ll vote for deal and keep government in place so hostages can be released. So even if Smotrich leaves, he won’t face an immediate election. If he does face one much further down the line after hostages are released, his approval ratings show he’ll likely win again.

From Reuters @FAH1223 it’s a done deal.

Despite the hold-up to the cabinet meeting, political commentators on Israel's public broadcaster Kan said the latest delay would likely be resolved and that the ceasefire was a done deal.

Makes sense. Hamas being able to maintain a presence politically in Gaza should be a non-starter.

Just on social media this deal is extremely unpopular with Israeli’s if it doesn’t include Hamas being removed from power.

“- No end to the war until Hamas agrees to Israel “achieving the war’s objectives” of destroying Hamas as a militant group, disarming Gaza, & deposing the local gov (in other words that Hamas dismantles itself or the war on Gaza continues).”

Nothing about this deal made sense. 50 Palestinians prisoners for 1 Israeli. 10 of the 33 hostages already being dead. Sounds like a Hail Mary from Biden to get aid into Gaza and not a real ceasefire.
I want to see who all here thinks that Hamas should continue to operate

As long as the idf continues to imprison/murder the palestinians in Gaza/west bank hamas will and should continue to operate.

For a person who likes telling us he doesn't care about this topic, you love coming in here supporting zionist rhetoric. It’s not weird since you are ideologically a right-winged, neocon, but it’s still funny.
The inability to condemn Hamas Is something :wow:

no, you can go through this thread. You will not see a post of mine supporting Hamas and I have condemned them many times.

You support genocide because Biden supports genocide. You are the stupid republican voter you think you are against.
