did they ever engage in using epidemics as a weapon outside of a couple smallpox blankets? it's unprecedented in modern history, i can't think of a single recent example aside from japan bombing manchuria with plague-infested fleas. the nazis also experimented with malaria-infested mosquitos but never managed to deploy them. before that you'd have to go back to the middle ages when infected cadavers were catapulted into enemy fortifications.
