im just think that if your baseline for target justification at the highest levels means that if you've got to send hospitals multiple evacuation notices, any sort of ground invasion is going to be a hellstorm of friendly fire
probably a major reason why the losses were so bad to kick all this off too

The thing is, it's not really in Israeli interest to have a defined "strategic" or "macro" level outlook bc inevitably that leads to the issue of Palestinian statehood, borders etc etc. That's not where Israel wants to take the conversation.
The strategic/macro plan, since the wall became reality, has been punishing the Palestinians and expanding settlements. That's it. Why would they waste time discussing anything with the other Arab nations - most of whom don't care for the Palestinians either?
state objectives and military objectives aren't always the same, sequenced, etc. our state objectives and military objectives didn't even talk in afghanistan for example lol....
but IDF probably keeps pushing the invasion back because their command is seeing more and more clearly exactly how ate up and unorganized their elements are as they continue to stage. i'd be shocked if they even have an efficient way to activate and ingest such a surge of reservists too. there's levels to this stuff. and i guarantee at some point during this process, they looked up at ukraine's military then back at their own forces and said "why is this so different?"
