@LeVraiPapi i would pass on that celeron if i was you.I had a i3 in mine and had to swap it out with the i5 in my server cause the i3 was too slow. And all i do is stream, download, and browse the net on my htpc

just go with i5 if you plan on doing any multitasking

Welp AV receiver took a dive on me already. Glad I bought that extended warranty on it so I could just take it back to Best Buy. Its outputting gibberish and show to both HDMIs to both TVs and even switching cables it still does it on all inputs.

with black friday coming up i think ive settled on this build for my home NAS server

$317.51

this is just going to be streaming movies/TV shows to my HTPC. Any thoughts?

CPU AMD A4-5300 3.4GHz Dual-Core$48.99
MotherboardASRock FM2A85X-ITX Mini ITX FM2 $115.98
MemoryCrucial Ballistix 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 $37.99
CaseFractal Design Node 304 Mini ITX Tower $89.56
Power SupplyCorsair 430W ATX12V $24.99

I personally think its too small a case for a server. I'd go with something that could actually support the amount of drives your mobo can or more. Understandable if you're going to have it in a visible location though. I'm currently using this cheap case for my server which is out of sight,

Believe it was $19.99 after rebate when I copped.

thanks, that case supports 6 hard drives so i figured that be enough, but itd be nice to futureproof msyelf. it is going to be visible for now, but hopefully not the case when i move again next year. the 210 was the other case i was considering, and it would save me about 50 bucks or so too on the overall build. ill have to think about it :patrice:
