Still relatively new with torrents, bittorrent and utorrent. I'm trying to get my ratio up before its too late.

I have a few movies from a sandisk where I put in my *.torrent and it automatically started to upload those movies. Im trying to do seed another 4 movies but for some reason its not showing up on Utorrent. I've looked all through the innanet trying to find my answer but no dice, anyone have an idea why they arent showing up?

-edit-I did change some preferences in bittorrent to suit my sites settings , im thinking maybe thats it?-

Got to make sure you are pointing uTorrent to the correct directory. If you have then force a recheck.

how do you add videos to xbmc on apple tv 2? shyt scressful bruh :damn:

Add the location they're stored in as a source.

Bring up the context menu and select 'add source'. Then browse to the folder/location the movies are stored and press ok, and scan the location into the library when it asks.

If you don't see the 'add source' option in the context menu then you're probably in library view. Go to the submenu of 'videos' on the main menu to 'files' and bring up the context menu there. You may be able to/have to do that in a slightly different way depending on the skin you're using.

Found out yesterday that with Plex you can play shyt from your library directly from your browser, :leon:

I just downloaded Plex over the weekend and am still getting it set up.

Anyone got any helpful tips on getting it running smoothly??

Your file structure. Make sure your media is situated in a structure compatible with Plex.

Movie Content

For this info, we'll assume that you've created a "Movies" folder, inside which you're storing your movie content.

General Naming for Movies

In general, movie files should be placed in your movies folder and should follow the naming formula: Movie name (release year).ext

/Movies
Avatar (2009).mkv

You may also place movie files into individual folders. Name the folder in the same way as the file:

/Movies
/Avatar (2009)
Avatar (2009).mkv
/Batman Begins (2005)
Batman Begins (2005).mp4

The main advantage to choosing the individual folder strategy is simply for organizational purposes. Having an individual folder can be useful for keeping your organizational structure clean if you also use local artwork files or external subtitle files.

Standard TV Shows

To name series/episode based shows:
Create a folder named with the Show’s name
Create a folder inside that one with the Season number
Put the show files in the Season folder, following the naming format: ShowName - sXXeYY.ext. For example, "Heroes - s01e01.mkv"

/TV Shows
/Heroes
/Season 1
Heroes - s01e01.avi
Heroes - s01e02.avi
Heroes - s01e03.mp4

/Season 2
Heroes - s02e01.avi
Heroes - s02e02.mkv
Heroes - s02e03.m4v

If you would like to include the episode name or additional information, add it after the sXXeYY or date:

/TV Shows
/Heroes
/Season 1
Heroes - s01e01 - Genesis.avi

It's simple for me.

I have 2 folders, one named TV Shows, the other Movies.

I made a folder for all of my shows to keep them organized on my PC. I just move the episodes to their respective folders and then refresh the Plex library from the browser and it shows up on my Roku's Plex app. :eat:

I haven't sorted my movies heavy, just throw them in the Movie folder and sift through what I want to see.

When I have people come over they look at the set up like

:ohhh:

"You paying for this"

:childplease:

Yeah, I have my Plex Dashboard web page pinned in Chrome. Whenever I get something knew, I just go to that section in the browser and refresh it there instead of updating the entire library.

Which case did you end up going with?

Yeah, I have my Plex Dashboard web page pinned in Chrome. Whenever I get something knew, I just go to that section in the browser and refresh it there instead of updating the entire library.

Plex automatically refreshes the library when it notices something new so no need to manually do it. I to have it pinned to chrome but usually only go into it when I want to change cover art or fix a mismatch. Only did I the other day notice you can play the movie there too, :ahh:
