Who should win: Nas. He's the veteran, he's due to win a Grammy, and while many vets get rewarded for mediocre albums he actually dropped a great album. Give the man his trophy.

Who will win: I still think Nas wins

I've thinking about who would win if we're wrong. Jay Electronica has the industry connections, you know Hov wants his guy to win (although I'd imagine Hov would also want to see Nas win). But how accessible is that album to the people who vote? Not to mention the fact that the first voice you hear is Farrakhan...I'd be surprised if A Written Testimony Wins.

Freddie and Alch...while it would make for a great story, I think the album is too...rap shyt to win.

Royce...no way IMO.

Then there's D Smoke. Lots of heavy lifting there, that's all I'll say. Honestly if anyone wins outside of Nas I think it's gonna be him. Would be the perfect diving board for what's coming next for him. For the record I'm not saying he's wack or doesn't deserve anything. He's cool, seems like a good guy, music isn't bad, good messages in the music. But Empire isn't the only thing in play here.

Other than obviously Abel not being nominated because he chose the Superbowl over a show that got pushed back anyway, I'm gonna hate that Beyonce is gonna get her clit rubbed over Savage and Black Parade. It's like when Kendrick got nominated for the worst song on Good Kid MAAD City. Beyonce cleaning up tonight is like giving Tim Duncan Jason Kidd's MVP.

Dua Lipa is probably winning the awards The Weeknd shoulda won and it's gonna make everyone look bad cuz whoever wins will have to defend their work against the Grammys' bigest fukk up ever.


Nas winning, while long overdue, is gonna be no different than when the Grammys give their awards to all the old heads. Not gonna mind when he wins, though because it really is long overdue.
