it brings a soulful tear to my eye to slowly seeing this show finally grow an audience it so long deserved. now we only need the award shows to give proper recognition to a show that is reaching elite tier status

First off ... episode 12 was
they couldn't have handled Mason Verger any better. I love how Hannibal picks his spots to reveal himself to people ... the Verger shyt was revealing himself on an even different level to Will. He knows Hannibal is a monster, but that whole ordeal made Will realize he is dealing with the fukking devil incarnate.
that finale though
LOVED the early interplay with words with Hannibal, WIll & Jack.
I didn't for a second see the Abigail twist ... but it made perfect sense. It was the one trump card Hannibal had on Will, she was his only weakness. Will was ready to sacrifice himself, & Jack to make the play on Hann's but seeing Abigail left him dead in his tracks, brought him back to reality, and then Hann's completely crushed his world.
The final 20 mins were just incredible ... Hannibal walking out ... leaving all the main characters a bloody mess to die ...
I think he left them all to die expect for Will, he knew he would survive that wound. He doesn't want the game with Will to end yet, and he wants Will to live with the blood of Jack/Elena/Abigail on his mind.
Cant wait for season 3 ... it sounds like its going to focus heavily on Hannibal (both his origin and him moving freely in Europe )
this show
Season 3 starts June 4th, and is about Hannibal on the run plus The Red Dragon!

Nice to see NBC Is moving this off of Friday nights and back to Thursday
Do they view this as a summer show though?
I think the show just wasn't ready yet, until summer. If they could get it out sooner they probably would have.
As far as Thursday, I assume it's reward for all the critical acclaim because Friday is usually the death slot for shows.

I didn't for a second see the Abigail twist ...
How do you think Mads will be at portraying Lecter behind bars?
I think it would be cool if he went to a different place to play him in that space, like inventing a new character almost
We're definitely a season away from that though, hes gonna go HAM in season 3

Agreed, I already resonate the character with MadsIMO he's already better than Hopkins. I said a few times during this thread, if Hopkins had the same amount of time I'm sure he'd be able to come up with something as good, if not better....but the fact of the matter is 3 movies cannot compete with 26 episodes of TV when it comes to fleshing out a character. It's impossible.
The only upper hand Hopkins has right now is Hannibal in captivity....Mads hasn't had to work in such limited conditions and keep the character interesting. If he nails this, then the character belongs to Mads.

I just kinda put her out of my memory, even with her being a point of conversation throughout season 2That caught a lot of people off guard but I had been waiting for it the whole season. Never felt that she was dead because Hannibal was too smart to fold that Royal Flush
On a related side note, I still don't think Chilton is dead either, although I'm not sure if that has been confirmed off screen or not
