He didn't get away with it at the end of season 2; he's on the run and is about to get caught to set up Red Dragon storylineI really like this show but the way he literally gets away with everything is last few seasons of dexter-esque

Up until that point is what i mean. Just seemed like it should have been obvious for a profiler to notice this guy. Like there are really so many coincidences in the world. Still enjoyable but laurence's character is/was really inept.
Yea that's true. But I love how they portray Will Graham. He and Hannibal are my favorite on screen duo since Larry David and Leon and Mulder and Scully. They are amazing together

The problem was that Hannibal was setting up evidence to either set someone up or to make himself seem like everyone else. There was even a scene where Will says the evidence will point to someone who isn't the killer and it turned out to contain Hannibal's DNA
Honestly, if Hannibal didn't think he was uncatchable they would've never even gotten THAT close. Will would've remained locked up and continued to pay for Hannibal's sins

Will was on to him the entire 2nd season, and Jack was on to him for the second part of the season as well. So Hannibal only really got away with it the first season.

That was after countless times jack should have been on him though
They need to give more back story on jack because i can't believe for one second he'd be an amazing profiler that people look up to and admire.

There was almost zero reason to suspect Hannibal until season 2. And for the first part of season 2, there was absolutely zero reason to suspect him considering Will vomited out an ear and had a ton of evidence against him
I already argued this during last season and I won the argument convincingly. Don't make me go back through this thread

Sorry dude but if jack has been doing this for decades then he should better at identifying Hannibal. Like i said, I'm gonna need receipts on jack's credentials. No reason he should have that job if a serial killer could get that close to him.

Its a genius IQ, GOAT serial killer whose psychosis does not prevent him from being fully self aware
He is smarter than everyone and able to think 10 steps ahead of everyone. He knows Jack's job as well as Jack does.

Don't forget that Will convinced Jack that Hannibal was guilty off screen long before the viewer knew about it. And Jack himself isn't a "profiler," he has profilers working for him. So of course he can't do his job without Will and everyone else that works for him.
