I don't know if he is "rich" but he is a successful psychiatrist. They can make anywhere from $100-300k year. He's probably on the high end.

So I read that MGM owns the rights to Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill and they're making a Clarice TV show on Lifetime, so neither of those characters can appear on this show. No I'm not trolling.

Bryan Fuller already approached them about some kind of deal....because MGM can't use Hannibal or Will Graham, either....and they said "no". Who the fukk wants to watch a Clarice Starling TV show without those 2 characters? Is MGM on crack?

He said he'll approach them again after season 3. :snoop:

Yeah, they talked about this last season.

I think the Clarice show is going to be about her time in training. But if she's in training, she's not doing any real shyt, just in class and shyt.

You read his plans for the 7 seasons?

Yeah I read the 7 seasons shyt, hopefully he gets to do it. Or at least 5-6, because beyond that is usually the cut off point where shows start to lose their way. Then again he seems to have a solid arc mapped out so he should be fine.

Who the hell wants to watch Clarice in class though? The only reason her character is interesting is in direct relation to Hannibal. It would be like a "Sopranos" spin off about Georgie the bartender. Well not that bad, but you get my point.

I take that back

Lifetime Developing 'Clarice' TV Series, Based on 'Silence of the Lambs' Character

Clarice will chronicle the experiences of its namesake after she has her first encounter with Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter and graduates from FBI academy. It sounds as though the TV series will therefore bridge the narrative gap between The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, following Clarice as she learns to cope with the everyday obstacles that come with the Fed lifestyle – and faces off against a resentful superior, who takes on the form of Department of Justice official Paul Krendler.

But all talk was from 2 years ago when both shows were in development. The only time I hear anything about it is when Fuller has to go :beli: Lifetime is doing a show so we don't have the rights to Clarice.

Finally caught up on all the episodes. I liked most of both seasons but show definitely hit a highpoint with Michael Pitt as Verger. I don't know how much longevity the show has but shyt as long as they bring back Pitt again, I'm gonna keep watching.

If MGM was smart they'd let them use the same actress as Clarice from the Lifetime show, and Hannibal/Will could cross over to their show, too. Make a loosely connected universe. But I'm sure that's a legal nightmare. I don't understand their logic though. It's not like NBC isn't offering them anything, they're offering Hannibal/Will which is worth more story-wise than Clarice. Especially now, with critics raving over this show. That "Clarice" shyt doesn't hold any weight yet.

i could see the middle-aged housewife demographic checking for a clarice show, even without hannibal, SOTL being iconic in their generation.

i dont understand how these rules work though. so anyone in SOTL isn't fair game? obviously there's exceptions. chilton was in the show but you can't have paul krendler or buffalo bill (neither of whom i care much about anyways)

I wanna say just Clarice and Buffalo Bill are off limits.

:ohhh::wow::dwillhuh::gladbron::merchant:

Da fuk I just watch. My god this season was ridiculous. Episode 12 is probably the most disturbing hour of television I've ever seen. Then the finale came in and god damn. Dude has to get caught though, him being 2 steps ahead of everyone 100% of the time is kinda annoying hoping Graham levels up after taking all these L's.
