yeah i noticed that too. i thought they were gonna keep panning down to show us what was down there. hopefully next season we get a peek at what it looks like down there. maybe to show how abby was livin

Didnt make any sense based on her actions this season and also Hannibal going to her house to kill her
I will reevaluate my opinion after Season 3 Episode 1 once they give an explanation.
It better be a good one, because right now it feels like a dart thrown at an idea board.
She's probably in captivity

I can see what you mean, but I could see how she was in on it the entire time, perhaps from the attack- something about the way she said she went too far with killing her attacker. I see it as maybe Hannibal talked her into realizing she enjoyed it and getting interested in the game. It is confusing as hell though from her ending the sessions with him in the first place.
But now that I think about it, Hannibal's delight at being so close to the investigation formalizing the confidentiality waiver, etc and goings-on make it seem like he set the whole thing up and told her at some point.
She's a psychiatrist that's in love with Hannibal's mind.
The same way Hannibal saw Will's fukked up head and wanted to be close to it, the way Will saw Hannibal, this is how she sees Hannibal.
With Will, he's still an FBI agent, there was still some of him that wanted to bring him to justice.
For her, her job is to explore and treat the human mind.
I don't think she's in captivity, not yet at least.
Even in the books, Clarice eventually runs off with Hannibal and becomes his lover.
The way Bryan Fuller explained it, she has a professional curiosity about Hannibal. He's one of a kind, in the context of the show he's arguably the greatest serial killer in history. Regardless of how scared she is, this is a once in a life time opportunity for a psychiatrist to study a psychopath "in the wild", so to speak.
And yeah the last time we saw her she was working with the Feds....but look at how she spoke about him, even then. It was awe....she was
