i told my girl while i was watching "babe hannibal taught me how to make an omelette"
My friend thats a fan of the Manhunter film has since brought it to my attention that the way the kid in the Manbearpig suit crashes through the window in Will's house is also definitely an homage to ManhunterThis also reminded me of a similar scene in Hannibal Rises. They've done countless references and callbacks to Silence, Red Dragon, Hannibal throughout the series. Most thought they would exclude Rises because it was so shytty and it may have been unintentional but still, they've covered all the films at some point now (not sure about Manhunter, havent seen.)

they advertise it on amazon prime at the end of each epwhere can I go back and watch the first season?
What do yall think about this mid-season change in tone?
I like it even though we aren't getting jaw dropping shyt like we were the first few weeks
I'm not sure I like turning Will into a killer though, but maybe that is book shyt I don't know
Seems like Hanny finally got Will to go full ?
Or is Will's design chess not checkers?

Last week we had a guy being sewed inside a dead horseNot a huge fan of the killer of the week format...
I thought the girl in the horse episode was pretty cool but the manbearpig thing was a bit over the top/cartoony for me.
I'm blaming NBC I think sometimes it feels like the story progression, the editing and the writing to a lesser extent is dumbed down for NBCs audience. The first half of this season was much better in that regard but now were back to the same contrived format we had in the middle of season 1.
I think the show would benefit from reducing the episodes down to 10 like GoT
yea i hate the killer of the week format.. its just so unrealistic that serial killing is so commonplace in this universe and that all the serial killers are in the same town. Not a huge fan of the killer of the week format...

Lol reminds me of that argument a few pages back about whether the trial would be on CNN or not.yea i hate the killer of the week format.. its just so unrealistic that serial killing is so commonplace in this universe and that all the serial killers are in the same town.
i still enjoy them it's just such a change of pace its jarring sometimes. There's no way to write out the "killer of the week" format in a series about Hannibal. Him helping Will Graham and Jack Crawford catch serial killers was in the OG novels, it's what he does.
