Hannibal did it again with this episode. I know it was limited commercials but he still didn't get 42 minutes of show this week. I aint mad though.

I'd say the preview definitely played up the suspicion and "Have you told Jack Crawford yet?" aspect to be more than what it actually is in the episode.

I read a synopsis of the episode and
Im guessing its a smaller detail that Hannibal is able to explain to Will, probably the fact that his dinner guest that night was Tobias. I dont think he'd be able to explain calling Hobbs like he did to Abigail. Speaking of which, shes back and writing a book with Freddie Lounds about her ordeal. Plus Lance Hendricksen is guest starring. Plus the killer of the week is :merchant:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Can somebody tell me what this show is based on?

Yes I know the characters, but which ones. We got silence, Hannibal and red dragon. Also Hannibal rising.

Now is this show planning on redoing it all. So we can forget everything from the movies. Or are they acting like this is a prequel (and sequel to Hannibal rising) to all the other movies

I ask cause I wonder if they throw in slick shyt from the movies foreshadowing. And also cause I really forget Every movie except silence and wonder if its worth going back

But definitely the best show on regular network tv!!

Problem is if the show lasts then we know that hannibals not gonna get caught for a long time, so they gotta make will the focus not Hannibal otherwise the cat and mouse game is gonna get old.

If I had to guess I bet that reporter is the first to discover hannibal

thats when they add in freaks like dollarhyde, jame gumb or maybe even mason verger :sadcam:

it's a cool show, but the serial killer violence is WAY over the top, cartoonish, repulsive sometimes, but just too much. The smaller sideline stuff with Hannibal is much more compelling.

Crazy the way it makes food seem to unappetizing.

@GoddamnyamanProf I went back and watched and you are correct. Hannibal done kept the whole cast fed.

I disagree that he showed only slight emotion. I saw the shock when Tobias' outed him but it was mostly in his eyes. The realization that Tobias was not bluffing is what I picked up on.

@DANJA I understand what you are saying but I'm talking from the perspective of the story as far as the episodes. Will he just continually evade capture for 22 episodes? I'm just throwing that number out there. Two or more seasons just to show how skilled and intelligent he is?

Yeah that was much more pronounced, I was referring to when he thought Will had been killed and then later finding out he hadn't been. Sending Will to Tobias was sort of a test for their prospective friendship, and Hannibal was kind of elated that he passed.

As for the timeline, the producer said early on that if the show lasts they'd like to do a Red Dragon season for season 4. In the novel, its mentioned that Will discovered and captured Hannibal three years ago, so its pretty well set up for it to happen at the end of this season. But of course they could change that. The fact that the way Will realizes the truth in the novel is pretty much the same thing they already used for Miriam suggests they may be going in a different direction.

Now I understand exactly what you mean and I wholeheartedly agree. Thanks for the other information as well.
